Decadent Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong Lobby Lounge

March 13, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Indulge in our brand new decadent afternoon tea set, embracing delectable savouries and classic patisseries infused with an Asian twist, specially created by our lately appointed Executive Pastry Chef Cedric De Lima a Sousa originated from France. Chef Cedric creates these delicate patisseries with authentic French roots using some of the best quality ingredients imported from France and seamlessly blend in Asian ingredients for a contemporary twist.

Experience a perfect match between sesame and chocolate in soft and smooth Sesame Chocolate Delice. Chef Cedric adds sesame creatively, a common condiment in Asian recipes, to enrich the flavour of chocolate. Matcha Green Tea Opera is another spin from the traditional French pastry. Taste the purest expression of vibrant green tea from the fluffy sponge cake and take the sweet indulgence to the next level. Awake your palates by the sweet yet slightly sour Mandarin Éclair topped with fresh mandarin and full of fresh mandarin fillings. Satisfy your sweet tooth with other pastry delights such as Lemon Meringue tart and Pistachio and Griottine Cherry Choux. Do not miss our home-baked plain and raisin scones with Cornish clotted cream, strawberry and rose jam.

Indulge in a string of delectable savouries that come with freshly-made artisanal bread. The tantalising Parma Ham with Sun-Dried Tomato, Herb Crostini features 24-month aged Parma ham from Italy. The elegant Smoked Salmon Rose with Lime Mayonnaise on Dark Rye is appealing both in visual and taste, while enticing savouries including Brioche Roll with Chicken, Avocado and Tarragon Dijon Mustard and Finger Sandwich with Cucumber and Dill Crème Fraiche are some other not-to-be-missed items.

To round an afternoon perfectly, take a sip of your favourite tea choosing from a variety of loose-leaf tea selection or organic herbal tea from renowned organic tea brand Mighty Leaf. Alternatively, toast to a relaxing experience with a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial, NV.
