Le Chou Chou Cafe: Where Indulgence Meets Craft in Kepong

February 24, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

In the heart of Bandar Sri Manjalara, tucked within the bustling square of Menara Perniagaan Manjalara 99, lies a café that quietly commands attention — not through noise, but through craft.

Le Chou Chou Cafe is a destination where indulgence is treated seriously, and every detail — from pastry lamination to pasta texture — reflects thoughtful execution.

The moment you step inside, your eyes are drawn to an arresting display: a wall adorned with cakes in pristine domes, each one sculpted with care. Towering celebration cakes, delicate petite desserts, and bespoke creations form a gallery of edible artistry. It is not merely a cake display — it is a statement.

The Art of Baking, Perfected

The cheesecakes are a revelation. Silky-smooth and luxuriously creamy, they melt effortlessly on the palate, delivering richness without heaviness. The balance is precise — indulgent yet refined. Each forkful feels deliberate, composed, and utterly satisfying. A double thumbs up would be an understatement.

Then there is the croissant — a masterpiece in simplicity. Golden, flaky layers give way to an airy, buttery interior that releases a fragrant warmth with every tear. Crisp on the outside, feather-light within, it is the kind of pastry that elevates a morning coffee into a ritual.

And the selection does not end there. Le Chou Chou offers an expansive range of pastries and cakes, making it as suitable for a spontaneous afternoon indulgence as it is for customised celebration orders across Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.

Comfort Elevated

While desserts take centre stage, the savoury plates hold their own.

The Pasta with Grilled Chicken is a study in proper technique. The pasta is cooked al dente — offering just the right resistance — while the grilled chicken remains juicy and tender, sealed with flavour from careful seasoning and heat control. It is a comforting dish, elevated through execution.

Equally satisfying is the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, served on homemade sourdough toast. The smoked salmon adds a gentle brininess, complemented by perfectly poached eggs and a velvety hollandaise that cascades luxuriously over the plate. Familiar, yes — but done with finesse.

A Space with Soul

Le Chou Chou is intimate and welcoming, designed for slow afternoons and lingering conversations. The café is also pet-friendly, allowing small pets indoors, with additional outdoor seating for those who prefer open air — a thoughtful nod to its community.

In a neighbourhood that may not be on every café-hopper’s radar, Le Chou Chou Cafe stands out as a quiet yet confident gem. It is a place where butter is generous, pasta is respected, and cakes are crafted with both heart and precision.

Luxury here is not extravagant — it is warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying.
