The Langham, Hong Kong ushers in the Year of the Monkey by offering Lunar New Year specialties, dim sum delicacies and handcrafted puddings at the Three Michelin Star T’ang Court.
The only restaurant to move up to three stars in the 2016 Michelin Guide, Hong Kong and Macau, T’ang Court’s Executive Chef – Chinese Cuisine Kwong Wai Keung and his culinary team have meticulously created an array of traditional Lunar New Year dishes. Now one of three Cantonese restaurants in the world to have Three Michelin Star status, Chef Kwong selected seasonal ingredients that carry specific meaning to wish every guest luck and prosperity in the coming year.
One of the hero dishes include the Steamed Egg White with Bird’s Nest, Minced Yunnan Ham, Crab Meat and Crab Roe that features a premium grade bird’s nest product from Indonesia. While the Sautéed Sliced Lobster with Crab Roe, Chinese Kale and Water Chestnut is locally-sourced, it offers a textured experience with elements from land and sea that signifies a bounty of good health.

A collection of celebratory dim sum is also available to ring in The Year of the Monkey. The Baked Pastry filled with Bird’s Nest, Crab Meat, Yunnan Ham and Coriander bursts with extravagant filling that symbolises abundant wealth and fortune. The Golden-fried Goose Liver and Shrimp Paste Dumpling also represents prosperity due to the richly smooth French Goose Liver and the robust prawn.
Perfect for presents, T’ang Court’s award-winning chefs have prepared their legendary homemade puddings –- traditional New Year Pudding, classic Turnip Pudding with preserved meat and Taro Pudding filled with conpoy and dried shrimp -– all crafted with the finest ingredients to take home and share with family and friends.
