SPIRIT OF 1957 AT CINNAMON COFFEE HOUSE ONE WORLD HOTEL, PETALING JAYA

The wave of patriotism hit Cinnamon Coffee House as the brigade of chefs whipped-up local delicacies imbued with spices and herbs, cooking technique and unique history of every major ethnic group in the country.

For a truly Merdeka celebration, fete on the national cuisine to your hearts content starting with assortment of Kerabu, Acar, Ulam – Ulaman and various type of Rojak. Head over to the soup station for a bowl of piping hot and hearty Sup Ayam Berempah or flavourful Sup Tomyum.

As for the most anticipated main courses, tuck into Chicken Tandoori, Lamb Varuval, Rendang Daging Tok, Kepah Masak Kalio, Fried Fish with Salted Egg Yolk, Wok Fried Prawns with Medan Sauce paired with assorted rice like Briyani, Turmeric, Ghee, Nasi Minyak or the daily staple, steamed white rice.

To grab the attention of the sugar lovers, an endless serving of desserts are displayed and decked to tempt the inner child in you to sink your teeth into. Curb the sweet tooth with perennial favourites like Ais Kacang, Cendol, Steamed Horlicks Cake, Fried Ice Cream and a range of kuih – muihs.
