Hennessy Unveils Exquisite Year of the Dragon 2024 Collection at Exclusive W Kuala Lumpur Showcase

January 24, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

World-renowned cognac house, Hennessy, is set to captivate the spirit of Chinese New Year at the iconic W Kuala Lumpur, presenting an immersive experience starting 20th January. To mark the celebration, Hennessy hosted an exclusive event at W Kuala Lumpur to unveil its highly anticipated Chinese New Year 2024 limited-edition collection. The exquisite collection, named ‘Dragon’s Odyssey’, is a result of the collaboration between Hennessy and acclaimed Chinese artist Yang Yongliang, bringing together tradition, artistry, and craftsmanship in celebration of the Year of the Dragon.

The limited-edition collection graces the iconic Hennessy Paradis, Hennessy X.O, and Hennessy V.S.O.P bottles, featuring designs that perfectly capture the spirit and essence of the Chinese New Year in honour of the dragon. Through this collaboration, Yang Yongliang combines traditional drawings with striking digital art, breathing life, movement, energy, and fire into a collective of metallic dragons dancing in and out of waves.

“We are thrilled to unveil the Hennessy Chinese New Year 2024 collection – a testament to our commitment to excellence and deep respect for cultural heritage. This year’s collaboration with Yang Yongliang has brought forth a collection that not only pays homage to the rich heritage of Hennessy in Asia, but also showcases the creative spirit that defines what we do at Hennessy. Aligning with its vibrant ambience and cultural significance, partnering with W Kuala Lumpur was a strategic decision that mirrors our commitment to creativity and innovation. As we stand on the brink of a new lunar cycle, a time of joy, renewal, and vibrant celebrations, we are proud to continue our legacy and bond in Malaysia,” said Nausicaa Charrier, Marketing Director of Moët Hennessy Malaysia & Singapore.

The Hennessy experience at W Kuala Lumpur transcends the ordinary, inviting guests to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of joy, prosperity, and vibrant celebrations. This year’s Chinese New Year promises an extraordinary experience that showcases the perfect harmony of tradition and modernity.

The spectacular journey begins the moment guests step into W Kuala Lumpur, with the lobby transformed into a captivating space that sets the tone for the festivities. As part of the experience at W Kuala Lumpur, guests are invited to partake in a feast for the senses with an exclusive Chinese New Year curated menu at YEN. The culinary journey promises to tantalise the tastebuds and elevate the celebration to new heights.

For those seeking an immersive experience, guests are invited to partake in the festivities at the heart of this extraordinary showcase, where an exclusive pop-up at WOOBAR awaits. The setting offers a unique opportunity for enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike to witness and acquire the limited-edition bottles, each a masterpiece in itself. The majestic experience extends beyond a visual feast, with WOOBAR also offering an indulgent experience for visitors. Specially-crafted Chinese zodiac-themed Hennessy cocktails will be available, allowing guests to savour the fusion of tradition and innovation in each delightful sip. The cocktails, meticulously designed for the festive season, offer a sensory journey that complements the artistic ambience of the venue.

Hennessy welcomes you to join in on the festivities through an immersive experience that transcends boundaries. Starting on 20th January and ending on 18th February 2024, guests are invited to discover the allure of the ‘Dragon’s Odyssey’ and be part of a one-of-a-kind celebration.
