 Situated in KL, The White Forest Cafe has gained attention on Instagram, drawing us in with its enchanting forest-themed atmosphere. Unlike typical cafes adorned with lush greenery and vibrant flowers, this unique establishment takes on a different approach, evoking the beauty of a fall woodland with rows of white birch tree trunks gracing its interior. This distinctive setting not only enhances the dining experience but also promises an Instagram-worthy backdrop for capturing memorable moments.

Nestled within the Carletz Suites KLCC, The White Forest Cafe lives up to its name, immersing visitors in a cozy and captivating birch forest ambiance. The space is transformed into a picturesque landscape, adorned with tall white birch trees that feature their striking, serrated chalky barks, adding to the ethereal charm of the surroundings.

While the cafe’s tree-lined interior undoubtedly serves as an eye-catching photo spot, it also offers a tranquil setting to indulge in a delightful brunch fare. The White Forest Cafe takes pride in its eclectic menu, featuring an array of Japanese fusion dishes that are sure to captivate both your palate and your senses.

FOOD

Salmon Tataki (RM24) 

The Salmon Tataki is a culinary masterpiece that beautifully highlights the freshness and delicate texture of the Norwegian salmon. The fillet is skillfully seared to create a lightly charred exterior, while maintaining its tender and succulent interior. Each bite offers a harmonious contrast of textures and flavors, with the creamy avocado providing a smooth richness that complements the natural sweetness of the salmon.

The addition of micro herbs adds a vibrant freshness to the dish, creating a visual feast for the eyes as well as a burst of herbaceous flavors. The black and white sesame seeds contribute a subtle nuttiness and a pleasing crunch, adding depth to each mouthful.

Duck Ramen (RM 29)

This dish offers a delightful twist on traditional ramen, featuring a homemade ramen noodles immersed in a flavorful and smoky duck broth, accompanied by succulent duck breast and seasonal vegetables. The broth is crafted with care, incorporating the essence of the duck into every spoonful. The smoky notes infuse the broth with a unique and tantalizing aroma, creating a memorable dining experience. Love it so much! 

Ahiru Donburi (RM33)

This dish showcases a slow-cooked local duck breast, simmered for 18 hours with a blend of aromatic spices. It is served with a set of rice, a Japanese soft-boiled egg, cucumber pickles, dried seaweed, and a side of flavorful duck broth.

The Ahiru Donburi is a well-balanced and satisfying meal that highlights the exquisite flavors of slow-cooked duck breast. Immerse yourself in the tender meat, fragrant spices, and the harmonious combination of textures. 

Chawanmushi Seafood (RM 9) 

For a taste of Japanese comfort food, don’t miss out on the Chawanmushi Seafood (RM 9) at The White Forest Cafe. This dish showcases the classic Japanese style of steamed egg custard, elevated with the addition of a delightful mix of seafood. The custard is steamed to perfection, resulting in a silky-smooth texture that melts in your mouth. The seafood selection adds a delightful variety of flavors and textures, bringing a touch of oceanic freshness to the dish

Dessert

TWF Dessert Platter (RM25)

The TWF Dessert Platter offers a variety of delectable flavors to satisfy your dessert cravings. It includes the refreshing Lime Yuzu cake, which blends zesty lime and fragrant yuzu for a tangy yet invigorating taste. The Green Tea cheesecake brings a touch of elegance with its smooth and creamy texture, complemented by the distinct earthy notes of green tea.

For a tropical twist, the Jackfruit gateau basque takes center stage, offering a luscious combination of jackfruit and a buttery cake base. Its unique flavor profile will transport you to the tropics with every bite. Last but not least, the Durian creme brulee provides a decadent finale to the platter, featuring the rich and creamy custard infused with the unmistakable aroma and flavor of durian, a beloved fruit in Southeast Asia.
