THE HERITAGE OF CANTON AT SHERATON PETALING JAYA HOTEL

Is time for Chinese New Year again. This time, you can celebrate your Chinese New Year at Yue at Sheraton Petaling Jaya. Located at the heart of Petaling Jaya, Yue offer you with their delicious and tempting Chinese New Year set. 

Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel launches its extensive selection of Chinese New Year offerings with the theme, Heritage of Canton, paying homage to quintessential Cantonese traditions. As revellers start to dress in red and fireworks dazzle the night sky, their team of chefs and associates have curated an array of seasonal delicacies and gifts.

We started out with our Chinese New Year dinner with the specially picked menu by the chef from their 4 selections of menu. 

Traditional Yee Sang served with the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab and Peanuts

Starts your year with the toast of prosperity and this year, Yue have curated their delicious home made yee sang which is served with their popular a must to have Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab Yee Sang. 

Braised Pumpkin Soup served with the Fried Egg Whites, Crab Meat and Crispy Scallop 

We love how the Braised Pumpkin Soup is served. The soup is so delicious where it is packed with the awesomely creamy and yet fragrant broth. Love the taste of it especially with the chunky crab meat in it.

Steamed Chicken with Chinese Herbs and Lotus Leaf

A flavourful dish that many loved. Simply authentic and we love the tender and juicy meat which is perfectly infused with the fragrant Chinese Herbs and Lotus Leaf in it.

Yue Style Steamed Star Garoupa

A simple and yet our favourite. A nice wholesome delights not to be missed is definitely their steamed star Garoupa. And in here, one can enjoy the juicy flaky meat. So good and delicious. 

Steamed Glutinous Rice with Dried Oyster and Fish Roe

We also enjoyed the awesome Glutinous Rice which si packed with the aromatic Steamed Glutinous Rice and with the pulpy dried oyster and fish roe. 

Double Boiled Osmanthus Tea with Black Sesame Paste 

Deep Fried Chinese New Year Potato Cake 

And of course, ends your Chinese New Year with some sweet bites. They are specially curated by the chef making each of it comes sinfully good.

Enjoy sweet reunions with friends and family from the comfort of your home with Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel’s exquisite selection of Chinese New Year takeaways. Curated for the season, guests can choose from a variety of Chinese New Year staples, such as Yee Sang and Prosperity Treasure Pot on their online store. A selection of ala carte Cantonese dishes as well as a Chinese New Year Takeaway Set Menu will also be available on their online store.

Toast with a Gift 

Surprise your loved ones and cherished business associates with Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel’s selection of artisanal gift boxes. 

Filled with seasonal treats, guests can choose from two gift boxes, which are the Chinese New Year Artisanal Gift Box and the Chinese New Year Premium Gift Box. Priced at RM158nett per box, the Chinese New Year Artisanal Gift Box consists of a Pineapple Tarts, Grapefruit Sable, Cashew Nuts, Popiah, Orange Marmalade and Strawberry Rose Jam. Whereas, priced at RM328nett per box, the Chinese New Year Premium Box consists of Pineapple Tarts, Green Tea Sable, Grapefruit Sable, Cashew Nuts, Popiah, Chocolate Pralines, Orange Marmalade, Strawberry Rose Jam and a bottle of red wine, 2020 Anakena Cabernet Sauvignon.

An Auspicious Feast 

As we usher in the Year of the Rabbit, treat your loved ones to a sumptuous spread of seasonal fare at Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Feast. With a wide variety of Cantonese dishes as well as choices of Indian, Malay, Japanese, and Western delicacies, there is always something for everyone at Feast’s Chinese New Year buffet specials. Guests can relish in variety of Chinese New Year classics, such as Braised Herbal Chicken wrapped in Lotus Leaf, Wok-fried Tiger Prawns in Salted Egg Yolk Sauce, Tau Fu Fa with Honey Syrup and more at Feast.  

An Auspicious Feast will available from the 8th of January to 5th of February 2023, starting from RM118nett.  

An Oriental Afternoon Affair 

The Link Café promises an exciting degustation afternoon tea experience with their Oriental Afternoon Affair.  In true degustation style, the afternoon tea set comprises of 3-courses, Savoury, Sweet and Scones. Featuring an exquisite ensemble of Chinese-inspired sweets and savouries, such as their Signature Pineapple Tart and flaky Swan Puffs filled with Barbecued Chicken.

A Gastronomic Journey through Japan

Curated for the season, delight in a variety of Japanese-inspired Chinese New Year dishes, such as Uni Chawanmushi, Seafood Teppanyaki and a Miyabi Yee Sang with their special Chinese New Year Omakase. Featuring fresh Salmon Sashimi and Ikejime Fish, the Miyabi Yee Sang is available for ala carte. Priced at RM100nett for 2 persons and RM188nett for 4 persons, Miyabi’s rendition of the Chinese New Year staple is sure to please any palate. 

Miyabi’s festive offerings will be available for dine-in from the 22nd of January to 5th of February 2023.
