The Hidden Gems in Kepong

July 6, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

The Hawker Kitchen’s is one of the hidden jewel in Kepong. Located inside the residential area, the restaurant is simply packed and filled with those who are staying nearby. The restaurant serves plentiful of home cooked delights which are affordably priced as well.

We started off with a steam fish. In here, one can choose the type of fish you love to have where they have a variety of fish to go for from talapia, siakap, patin and also grouper. Choose your choice of fish, and then have them cooked with your favourite sauce.  You can have your fish steamed with XO Sauce, Bean Sauce Steamed Fish, Deep Fried Crispy Fish, Teow Chew Style Steamed Fish and many more.

Steamed Grouper Fish with Ginger and Garlic

For us, we had ours Steamed where the grouper fish is perfectly steamed with the ginger and garlic sauce. Well, I can say once it is served, we are really obsessed with it and clear up the fish in minutes. The gravy comes simply good with the kick of spiciness from the chily padi and also the ginger blend. The fish comes fresh and the meat is flaky as well.

Signature Dynasty Chicken Pot (RM 44 (Half)| RM 88 (Whole))

Must Have Must Have!! One of the signatures here which is the Signature Dynasty Chicken Pot. The Chicken is being braised for hours and then transfer to this beautiful golden wooden pot. The chicken meat comes simply moist and juicy and it is well absorb the flavours.

Deep Fried Pork Knuckle (RM 58)

The Crispy Pork Knuckle is something to look forward here. Enjoy this delicious pork knuckle which is beautifully deep fried till perfection. The pork knuckle comes crispy on the skin and inside remains its juiciness. Addictively good !

Coconut Curry Prawn (RM 48)

The Coconut Curry Prawn comes addictively good too. The huge fresh prawns are beautifully coated with the creamy light spiciness curry. Addictively good and the prawns comes huge and fresh which added more bonus to the dish itself

Crab Meat Tofu Soup (RM 20)

For those who love to have some soup, try their Crab Meat Tofu Soup which comes perfectly good with the hot and flavourful blend of taste. We love the way they make the soup which is such a comfort meal for the family.

Banana Leaf Squid (RM22)

The Banana Leaf Squid is something worth to go for where the portion comes generous. The squids are well stir-fried with chef’s signature spicy sauce together with okra and long beans. Spicy and yet addictively good!

Cereal Fried with Mantis (RM 22)

One of my favourite dish here, the mantis prawn comes delicious good with the generous amount of cereal in it. I always love this dish as it brings you with the aromatic taste of cereal with some crunchy bites with it.  Yummz!

Clear Lala Soup (RM 24)

The soup is boiled with the ginger in it together with the lala. The hot and tummy warming soup to go for.

Fried Green Dragon with Mushroom

Asides from that,  they do serves a wide choices of vegetables as well from the Fried Green Dragon with Mushroom, Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leaves, Fried Lettuce and many more. And don’t miss out their tofu selections too where they have wide variety choices of tofu to go for.
