Greyhound Café @ Ansa : Weekday Lunch Menu Launched

October 24, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Malaysia’s first offshoot of Thailand’s Greyhound Cafe is open where they are one of the well known brands in Thailand. Greyhound is one of the fashionable casual dining café opened in Malaysia back in March 2016 where they has been serving loads of trendy modern comfort food. They had one in Ansa Hotel in between the two busy mall which are the Lot 10 and also Fahrenheit 88.
The café interior is beautiful and it is indeed a chic and contemporary ambiance which makes it so Instagram friendly.
We were there last week to try their lunch set where they have 6 new Weekday Menu. The Weekday Delight Lunch comes with a variety choices of food to go for either noodles or rice and a free drink.
We started with the Pad Thai with Fresh Shrimps (RM 26). We loved how the pad thai was done. We do enjoyed them so much especially the thin rice noodles was perfectly well fried with the tamarind sauce, egg, fresh prawns, tofu, bean sprouts and chives. Sides with the lime at the side. Together with it was the dried chili flakes, crushed peanuts and the fresh bean sprouts. The pad thai was flavourful and aromatic; well stir fried till perfection with generous portion of fresh bouncy shrimps.
Noodle with Braised Beef Soup (RM 26)
The hearty bowl of pipping hot soup was divinely good. The soup was flavourful and the noodles texture was perfect. We love the QQ texture of the noodles. There were also generous portion of the beef that were being served with it as well.
Spaghetti Carbonara in Light Cream Sauce (RM 26)
Cooked al-dente, the spaghetti Carbonara was just a perfect divine. The light cream sauce had made a good match with the spaghetti itself. It was pretty heavy but the taste was good.
Spaghetti with Thai Anchovy (RM26)
Another signature here was the Spaghetti with Thai Anchovy (RM26).  Using the Thai ingredients in their cooking paired with the al-dente pasta, the dish was perfect. The taste was just robust with the combination of spicy and salty.
Minced Chicken with Sweet Basil (RM 27)
We tried the minced chicken with Sweet Basil where the rice set was perfectly prepared.  The chicken was well minced till perfection with the hint of basil in it. The taste was perfectly awesome and had a light spicy hint.
Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste (RM 27)
I was in love with their fried rice with shrimp paste. Well fried , with the aromatic and robust flavours from the shrimp paste. Perfectly good.
