November 2016 marks the 25th anniversary year of COMO Hotels and Resorts. Beginning in 1991 with COMO The Halkin in London, the now group owns and manages today 13 urban hotels, island resorts, adventure hotels and wellness retreats across the world, each with a commitment to individualised service, holistic wellbeing and award-winning cuisine.

To celebrate 25 years as one of the leading lifestyle hospitality groups, COMO Hotels and Resorts is launching a number of exciting initiatives around its core brand values.

COMO will launch a two-month global competition from September 2016, which will encourage social media followers to share their travel essentials when packing for a COMO destination. To win one of three exclusive prizes – a Club21 bag and a vacation of either a three-night wellness programme at COMO Shambhala Estate, Bali, a five-night service-focused experience at COMO Maalifushi, Maldives, or a two-night gourmet adventure at COMO Metropolitan London – fans of COMO simply have to follow @COMOHotels on Instagram and share seven things in their travel bag via an Instagram post. Images must include the hashtags #COMO25th and #Club21 to qualify.

Employees are marking the anniversary with our ‘25 Hours of Service’ initiative. Teams and individuals are challenged to complete 25 hours of service within their local community. This effort is taking place in all COMO destinations, as well as COMO’s offices in Singapore and New York, and will be active until the end of 2016. The initiative has so far involved 330 employees and clocked more than a thousand hours of service to communities, ranging from fundraising runs to skill-based volunteering and mentoring.
COMO’s sister brand in wellness, COMO Shambhala, has created a special edition version of the brand new COMO Shambhala cookbook, The Pleasures of Eating Well (published by Clearview). Each copy comes with a beautiful exclusive slipcover. This initiative is limited to 250 copies – gifted to the first 250 guests who book and stay in one of COMO’s stylish COMO Suites or Villas in its urban hotels or resorts.
COMO continues to evolve in an effort to go beyond guest expectations, whether it is identifying new ways to immerse guests in local culture or expanding the existing service offerings. However you mark COMO’s 25th anniversary – online, with our book, or by helping a good cause – we thank both our guests and the hospitality industry for their long, loyal support.
