A BOUNTIFUL SPRING REUNION AT PRINCE HOTEL & RESIDENCE KUALA LUMPUR

January 15, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur celebrates the arrival of spring reunion “Tuan Yuan” (团圆), this Chinese New Year with a feast that is suitably symbolic and peppered with a feast of delicious dishes at the Tai Zi Heen Chinese Restaurant. Savour great helpings of togetherness, happiness, prosperity and good health with Chef Michael Wong’s 9-course auspicious set menus and prosperity yee sang, promising a harmonious, prosperous and peaceful New Year! Our “Tuan Yuan” feast will begin from 26 January to 5 March 2015. On 26 February, there will be a special “Lion Dance” performance with “dancing lion performers” dancing while winding their way through the hotel lobby and food & beverage outlets to bless the hotel with good fortune in the coming year.

Herald in the Lunar New Year as Tai Zi Heen presents a bounty of traditional reunion feasts of pork-free Cantonese fare. Toss to good fortune; the auspicious festive menus begin with the tossing of the “Yee Sang” (捞生), the Chinese New Year must-have prosperity salad. A variety of ingredient options are available including the signature Four Seasons Prosperity Yee Sang (butterfish, salmon, tuna and jellyfish), Abalone, Hamachi, Canadian Surf Clam, Salmon or Snow Pear. Take away options for all Yee Sang are available for your enjoyment with family and friends at home.

Tai Zi Heen Chinese Restaurant offers three selections of 9-course festive set menus packed with auspicious ingredients for the perfect reunion celebration and appreciation dinners. The Chinese New Year set menus are priced at RM1488++ for the Spring and Happiness set menu, RM1888++ for the Everlasting Prosperity set menu and RM2188++ for the Wealth and Fortune set menu, for a table of 10 persons for each set and prices are subject to service charge and prevailing government taxes. Highlights of the menus include Double-boiled Chicken and Vegetable Soup with Fish Maw and Sun-Dried Scallops, Crispy Prawns Coated with Lemon Dressing, Tropical Fruit Salsa and Tobiko Caviar, Steamed Canadian Cod Fish with Bean Crumbs, Vegetables and Fried Garlic and Crispy Deep-fried Sesame Balls with Salted Egg Yolk Custard. Vegetarian options are available upon special request.

We invite all our guests at The Reunion Dinners at Tai Zi Heen to add more colour and happiness to the event by taking ‘wefie’ to capture the togetherness and happiness of the moment with their beloved families. Upload and post your family ‘wefie’ on their Instagram, location tag @Princehotelkl with hashtag #reunion #momentatPrince and re-post on the hotel Facebook wall. The most popular ‘wefie’ reunion moment chosen via number of likes, will be awarded a stay or dinner at the hotel. This ‘wefie’ promotion activity will run from 26 January to 5 March 2015.

Tai Zi Heen remains open during Lunar New Year’s Eve and throughout the 15 days of the festival from 12:00noon to 2:30pm for lunch (Mondays to Fridays), 11:30am to 2:30pm for lunch (Saturdays and Sundays) and 6:30pm to 10:30pm for dinner (Mondays to Sundays).
