Soi 23 has earned its reputation as one of the city’s finer Thai restaurants. Perched on a hill just opposite KL Tower, Soi 23 is a hidden gem on level 23 that is found in a boutique hotel. The restaurant comes awesome with the beautiful view where you can see KL tower just next to it.

The restaurant is well decorated with the a great elegant interior. Recently, Soi 23 undergo a revamp of their new menu which brings you a fusion Thai Food with the fine dining touch,

We started with the Tom Yam Prawn Bisque (RM25) where the tomyam soup is slightly alterned with a light creaminess in it. The rich brooth of tomyam bisque which is served is amazingly delicious with the spiciness combined with a light creaminess. The soup comes simply appetizing and flavourful.

Slow Braised Black Angus Beef Ribs in Dry Curry with Pineapple (RM42) is amazingly good. The Angus Beef which is being braised for hours and topped with the thick dry curry with the twist of spiciness made the great match with the pineapple itself. The fall of the bone angus meat is so awesome where it melts in the mouth with the complete tenderness and juiciness in it.
soi23
Coming next is the “Alive” Organic Spring Pandan Chicken (RM 35). The Spring Pandan Chicken comes simply awesome where the chicken is well marinated with the herbs and spices in it. The platter comes amazingly lovely where each piece of the pandan chicken is filled with the marination and also the meat deliciously done with the complete mois.

The Soft Shell Crab, Tiger Prawn & Scallop with Stinky Bean & Massaman Paste (RM 48) is indeed a good combination. The deep fried softshell crab, together with the tiger prawn and scallop is cooked in the hearty green curry. The curry does not comes spicy but the splendid delights is sinfully good and irrestible.
soi23
Coming next is the Thai Spicy Lemon & Garlic Seabass (RM 48) which comes with the kick of spiciness in it. The seabass is well cooked with the spicy blend combination of sourish tempations. The seabass is well done with the moist and flaky texture with the fish itself. Every mouthful is simply awesome.

Ended with the mains with the Trio Mushroom & Asparagus with Spring Onion & Ginger (RM 28) which is presented graciously on the hot pot. With three different mushroom stir fried together with the spring onions and ginger, the delights comes pretty awesome.

Lovely food is ended with sweet endings of course! We ended with the Chilled Young Coconut Creme Caramel with Gula Melaka, Vanilla Ice Cream (RM25). The awesome delicious divine is something to look for as the beautiful presention with the fragrant gula Melaka is more than enough to melts my heart. The desserts is just awesome.

Overall, SOI 23 is indeed a place for good food and beautiful ambience.
