DELIGHTFUL CHINESE NEW YEAR CUISINE FOR THE LUNAR FESTIVAL AT PULAI SPRINGS RESORT

Celebrate the Lunar New Year festival with family and friends at Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant, the multi award-winning restaurant at Pulai Springs Resort with an assortment of delightful Chinese New Year cuisine. Heading the restaurant, Master Chef Lim and his team have come up with four (4) set menus to choose from, all suitable for family reunions or gatherings with friends.

The Auspicious Set Menu, priced at RM 468++ per table of 6 persons, consists of Qing Palace’s Special Salmon “Yee Sang”, Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crabmeat, Crispy Roasted Chicken, Steamed Cod Fish “Hong Kong” Style, Pan-fried Prawn with Seasoning Sauce, Assorted Mushrooms with Broccoli and Dried Soya, Stewed Noodle with Three Treasures and Golden Sweet Corn Sago.

The Happiness Set Menu, priced at RM 698++ per table of 10 persons also comprises dishes like the Salmon Yee Sang, Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crabmeat and Fish Maw, Steamed ‘Patin’ Fish “Hong Kong” Style and others.

On the other hand, the Longevity Set Menu is priced at RM 838++ per table of 10 persons. Guests can sample dishes like the Steamed Garoupa Fish “Hong Kong” Style, Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Bamboo Pith and Crabmeat, Braised Duck with Mixed Mushrooms in Brown Sauce, Braised Sea Cucumber with Black Mushroom and Chilled Honey Dew with Sago and Ice Cream.

For guests who wish to indulge in the exclusive Prosperity Set Menu, priced at RM 1,188++ per table of 10 persons, be spoilt with dishes like Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Shredded Abalone and Dried Seafood, Camphor and Tea Smoked Duck, Braised Abalone with Black Mushroom & Greens, Sautéed Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk and Double Boiled Snow Fungus with Red Dates

In addition, a Chinese New Year must-do is having family and friends tossing the yee sang, which is believed to bring good luck and prosperity. Chef Lim has prepared a line-up of four types of Yee Sang for guests to “Lo Hei” (tossing) for prosperity and wealth for the New Year. The four types of Yee Sangs are Salmon, Pacific Clam, Roasted Duck and Abalone Yee Sang and are priced from RM55++, 65++, RM70++ and RM 100++ respectively. To accompany your meals, Qing Palace also serves an extensive list of Chinese teas, among its beverages.

The Reunion and Chinese New Year set menus and Yee Sang promotion at Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant will be available only from 30 January to 14 February while the Yee Sang will be available for dine in and takeaway from 10 January to 14 February 2014. All dishes are pork-free and alcohol-free.

The all-day dining Gleneagles Terrace Restaurant will also be offering Lunar New Year specialties perfectly suitable for family reunions and gatherings. The Chinese New Year Eve Buffet Dinner, available on 30th January is priced at RM 68 ++ per adult and RM 34 ++ per child (5 paying adults, 1 dines free). Meanwhile, the Chinese New Year Day Hi tea is priced at RM 43 ++ per adult and RM 22 ++ per child (5 paying adults, 1 dines free) and the Chinese New Year Day Buffet Dinner is priced at RM 52 ++ per adult and RM 26 ++ (5 paying adults, 1 dines free). Both the Chinese New Year hi-tea and buffet dinner are available on 31 January, 1st and 2nd February.
