WAKU WAKU, MID VALLEY MEGAMALL

November 7, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Ever heard of the name Waku Waku ? Waku Waku in Japanese means thrilled and excited and this time we are indeed excited to find out what is in Waku Waku. Waku Waku Contemporary Japanese Dining Restaurant puts a touch of modernity on traditional Japanese cuisine, suited to satisfy both adventurous and timid palates. Raw or cooked, hot or cold, it is your personal choice for and exquisite dining experience to be shared with friend and family. I love the setting of the restaurant which is bringing me the greeny feeling and homely too. The restaurant is basically lovely with the unique and modern feel. It is well located the same floor as Mid Valley and it is well decorated as well. It is basically taking over the the place of Sushi King.

We started our meal with the Salmon Carpaccio. This is where the raw slamon slices are being served with the green butter mayonnaise and their home Wafu dressing. The delights is good and the salmon is fresh as well. The dish is simply delicate and arranged in perfection for the ‘raw and chilled’ lovers.

Salad is another delights which is not to be missed in Waku Waku. The Mushidori Salad is being served with the fresh vegetables and topped with the selected dressing. In Mushidori Salad, the steamed shredded chicken salad is being served with the sesame dressing where you can find lovely dressing like Jelly Fish, Cherry Tomato and Lettuce inside.

Kinoko no Irodori Yasaiitame is one of my favorite. The stir fried mushroom with vegetables is a great mix where the mushroom is well fragrant and the taste of the mushroom is sinfully delicious.

If you are a sushi lover, do not missed their Dragon roll where the fried shrimp is being breaded with the minces shrimps and crab and it is well wrapped. It is topped with the fresh Avocado on top of it which creates dish to be fresh and delicious. I am loving the sushi as the texture is crispy in the outside and the rice does not fall down easily when we munch it.

The Assorted Selected Skewers which are being served is the Hotate Kushi, Tori Momo Kushi and Tomato Beef. I am falling in love with the Hotate Kushi where the scallops are fresh and very delightful. Some fusion for now? Yes.. I am missing Fried Koay Teow and now Waku Waku has its own Japanese Koay Teow.
