ONE DESSERT, SS2

October 24, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

One Dessert is a new dessert shop which is located at SS2. The shop is located at the same row as UFO Restaurant. The restaurant is decorated with dim lights and it is hang with banners of the desserts on the wall. This is my first time visit there as I purchased the deal from Living Social. The restaurant not only serving desserts but they have more than that like rice set, dim sums, hot desserts, snacks and more.

– The Durian Pancake-

– The Inside of the Durian Pancake-

One of its speciality is the durian pancake and being a durian lover, how could I resist and say NO to durian. The durian pancake is not really above par to me as the color of the green is not really scary and in the inside the cream was really thick and just a bit of durian in it. Comparison wise, I still love Lucky Desserts or Samptous more for a better durian pancake experience which is where the cream is not too thick.
Taste: 2/5
Price: RM 8.00

Sweet Red Date Stewed Sea Coconut is a hot delights which we had. This is where the desserts are boiled with the red dates and the sea coconut together. The desserts is quite sweet but it has plentiful of the sea coconut in it.
Taste: 2/5
Price: RM 7.50

Besides desserts, they do served dim sum as well. The Hong Kong Style Siew mai which we ordered is not really good. The texture is dry and it is not too flavorful as well. I would not much recommend the siew mai as it is quite meaty as well.
Taste: 1/5
Price: RM 4.60

The crabstick seaweed roll taste not bad overall where it is well wrapped and I love the crabmeat and the taste of the seaweed is there.
Taste: 3/5
Price: RM 4.20

Rice Roll with Prawns which is the HK Style of Chee Cheong Fan is just normal. The prawns are not really fresh and it is being wrapped and the overall taste is considered so-so . The dish is not really hot as well.
Taste: 2/5
Price: RM 4.60

Steamed Pork Rib with Soya Bean in Steamed Rice is where the rice are being steamed together with the pork ribs. The rice is not soft and mosturize enough and the overall taste is not really good.
Taste : 2/5
Price: RM 7.50

We ordered the Kiwi Fruit Ice where the kiwi fruit is being blended with ice to be served.
Taste : 3/5
Price: RM 8.00
