SHOGUN JAPANESE BUFFET RESTAURANT, MONT KIARA

Saisaki Japanese Restaurant which was founded in 1999 and housed at UOA II, Kuala Lumpur, has been serving its ever faithful diners for the last 12 years with its fine Japanese cuisine. With its success at this particular restaurant, the owner decided to further serve its fine cuisine to more strategic locations such as 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, and recently at Fahrenheit 88 and now in Solaris Mont Kiara.

Solaris Mont Kiara is Shogun’s 5th and biggest outlet. Its floor size is 29,000 square feet with the capacity to sit 500 – 600 guests at one time. The outlets serves approximately 65% of the menu is Japanese cuisine but for those who are not that big a fan of Japanese food, there are other options. The outlet serve more than 200 variety of fusion food ranging from Chinese, Thai and Western Cuisine. Come and taste the fresh oyster, tuna, abalone and to add on, the Chinese Herbal soup like the Chef’s Special Chicken Essence Soup, Shark fin Soup and “Fatt Tiew Cheong” (Buddha Jump Over the Wall).

Japanese food to come which is their fresh oysters, prawns as well as sashimi is a MUST to have there. The seafoods are fresh and they have a wide range of dim sum as well.

As for Soup, they have a variety of them. There are Buddha Jump Over The Wall, TomyamSoup and more to choose in the list. They also have Soon Hock Fish in their list as well.

There is also variety of Thai Food which is also super delighting as you can find a variety of kerabu there. You can find fresh salmon kerabu, mango kerabu, squid kerabu and more.

As for Chinese Food, you can find fresh fish, fish maws, duck, fried noodles as well as fried rice as well.

Dim Sum is something not to be missed as well. There is a wide array of Dim Sum dishes are also available to tempt your tastebuds. There is steam siew mai, loh mai fan, fishballs as well as fried dum sum can also be found in the meal.

Tempura is also one of the favorite among children and adults. You may find a variety of tempura, soft shell crab, fried mushrooms, onions, brinjals and more.

Western is also a choice to have as well in Shogun. There is fried chicken, garlic bread, French fries are also being served. We also see a lot more food in there for us to venture.

There is a variety of sauces to be added into your meal as wasabi, chilly, thai chilly, mayonise, and many more. They also serves other of light appetizer like kim chi as well.

As for ice creams, they do have a lot of choices of ice creams to choose like vanilla, chocolate, honey dew and more.

There also serves a large variety of cake as well where comes by will be tiramisu cake, pandan cake, and more. You can have a large variety of cookies and pudding as well. They also serve Kuai Leng Ko as well.

You can find ABC ( Ais Batu Campur). From there, you can mix and choose the ingredient you want to be served with your ABC like red beans, jelly and more.

Finally, you can fill your tummy with fruits. There are assorted local fruits like papaya, honey dew, watermelon and more. Aside you can have konoyoku jelly as well.

As for drinks, they have assorted of choices like ice lemon tea, orange juice and more. They also serves coffee and green tea

On that day, we are pretty lucky as we can witness the 100kg Whole Maguro ceremony where the fish is being imported from Japan itself. The fish is specially flown, is expected to provide more than 300 numbers of servings which includes fresh sashimi slices, maki, and sushi and the cost comes up to RM 10k for the fish itself.
