Tsujiri @ Damansara Uptown : The heaven for Green Tea Lover

October 3, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Green Tea lover rejoice and here we are at the awesome place where they serve Green Tea Desserts. Hailed all the way from Japan,
Tsujiri ice cream is something worth to go for if you are a big fans of green tea.
The History
The time was end of ancient Edo period, and in 1860,  the brand Tsujiri was first established by Riemon Tsuji in Uji in Kyoto, Japan.  The founder Riemon tapped his own wealth to improve the then tea industry, advancing and innovating the method to enhance the flavours and sweetness  of the tea –to accomplish in making the highest quality Gyokuro tea leaves.  He also devised the tea cabinet to keep the tea leaves fresh longer, thereby enabled to revive the popularity and marketing of the Uji tea.  His effort was well recognised by many and to attest to that, his statute was built  in
By doin, the Kyoto’s world heritage shrine.

Since then and for more than 150 years, the brand TSUJIRI has kept Riuemon’s spirits of “innovation atop keeping
tradition”,  and continued to offer the best Uji tea throughout Japan from its founding family  base in Uji in Kyoto as well as its major satellite locations in Kitakyusyu Kokura,  Gion in Kyoto and Okayama.
We the “TSUJIRI Tea House” goes back its origin
in Kyusyu TSUJIRI which was established in Kokura, Fukuoka in 1923.  Kokura TSUJIRI was the first of its kind in
starting Green tea (Matcha) tea house,  and it has been creating original confectionary with the highest quality
Uji tea leaves of TSUJIRI brand

In 2010, TSUJIRI Tea House first opened its overseas
branch in Taiwan, engaging the same highest quality Uji tea leaves of TSUJIRI
brand and offering the delectable Kokura TSUJIRI menu.  Since its first opening, the concept has
become such popular that we have grown to 5 branches in Taiwan in this short
period of time. TSUJIRI Tea House continues its mission to promote and convey
the beauty of Japanese culture and splendour of Japanese tea and we strive for
the world to savour the best quality Japanese green tea.

Genmaicha (RM 8)
I am loving the genmaicha here. The brown rice tea which is simply addictive and fragrant. The tea comes fragrant and with a light char taste in it. It brings you with the refreshing taste of the dish itself. Such a soothing drink to go for and I love it with the bites of grains that it inside.

Black Sesame Roll Cake (RM 10)
I am loving the black sesame roll cake, the fluffy roll cake completes with the fragrant black sesame is indeed addictive. Being not a black sesame, I am truly in love with this and this is just heavenly. I am taking in non-stop after the first bite.

Shiratma Kinako Kuromitsu (RM 12)
Is a perfect delights to go for? The delights comes with the chewy bouncy glutinous rice balls, brown sugar syrup and roasted soybean flour. Dipped them in brown sugar syrup and roasted soybean flour. Love the taste of it especially the fragrant roasted soy bean.

Tsujiri O Matcha
Love some parfait? Get their parfait selection and they have 3 varieties to choose from. Get the Tsujiri which is their signature
selection, Shiratama Selection and also their Chiffon Cake Selection. And of course, Tsujiri O Matcha is my favorite of all. The delicious softserve complete with fragrant taste of the matcha, and the smooth texture of the softserv is just perfect to my tastebuds.

Sunrise Uji (RM 21)
This really impressed me as the snowy delights. The shaved ice is indeed beautifully done like Mount Fuji. The dessert is beautifully in
sight and also not just that, it is well shaved and brings you with the melts in the mouth sensation. You can have them with the some topping where you just add RM 3.00 for the top up of O-Matcha Soft Ice Cream, Houjicha Soft Ice Cream or 4 pcs Shiratama.
Signature O Matcha(RM11)
Those who love the taste of matcha should order this. The thick creamy base of the tea is just so fragrantly done. Using the Class 6 of matcha, you can taste the distinctive taste of it and do have them more as it is said to have good benefits on health especially on digestion and also complexation. Ladies Take Note of This!
O-Matcha with Yuzu(RM 12) (Cold Only)
For me, I love the Omatcha with uouzu where it brings where the matcha is being brewed using the traditional way and it is then being served with the thick yuzu syrup below. The taste comes simply refreshing.

For those who wanted to go for a delicious tempting Japanese Desserts, Tsujiri is one of the great place to go and not just that, you can also buy their tea set at RM 328 if you keen to learn on making Japanese Style Matcha. They also offer classes on the education on matcha, you can PM in Tsujiri Facebook too.
