The Forum Kuala Lumpur: More Localised Food

October 10, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

The Forum Kuala Lumpur is one of the places where you can have a variety of cuisine and recently they feature the Delectable Southern Asian favourites with the Modern twist.

The Forum’s recently changed the ownership early this year and this time, they had added 14 types of Asian Comfort Foods into their menu section.

We started with the hearty soups which was the mushroom soup. Well-blended and cooked. The soup was fragrant and sided with the light-charred mushroom and crouton. Drizzled with truffle oil. Perfect!

We had this awesome Satong Katong Style Laksa Lemak where they were perfectly cooked. The noodles served with the springy yellow mee and bee hoon, and simmered in a rich coconut and shell broth. Topped with the sliced hard boiled egg prawns, Japanese scallops and beansprouts.

Asides from the Laksa Lemak, We also had their innovative classic favorites where we are served with the succulent 180g angus patty Rendang Burger, grilled and served with The Forum’s special rendang sauce. Sides with their special rendang sauce, cucumbers, peanuts and sambal on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Asides, they had the Atlantic Salmon where the portion was generous and served with the charred corn, lentils, couscous, rocket salad, dill and lemon aioli.

Another dish which were being served were the Chicken Roulade. This is where the spinach and mushroom rolled within a filleted herb-encrusted chicken thigh and served with sauteed cauliflower, tomato salsa and pumpkin mash.

Lastly, we also tried their Nasi Lemak for those who are looking for some Malaysian delights. Enjoy the usual Malaysian favorites where had the usual fare of deep fried anchovies, peanuts, sambal sotong, achar, fried free-range egg and a chicken curry recipe.

For those who had not visited The Forum, do visit them and enjoy their new menu. The Forum KL is open from 12pm to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends (closed on Tuesdays). The restaurant can cater to parties of 50-60 pax with ease, boasting a spacious glass-panel interior and seating.
