THAI CAMP, TAMAN PARAMOUNT: BRING YOU THE HOMEY THAI FOOD

Located in the neighborhood of Taman Paramount, Thai Camp is another hidden gen which is worth checking out for a Thai Cuisine. Next to Restaurant Mei Yan and along Jalan 20/7, Thai Camp at Taman Paramount is a new kid on the block. Bringing the authentic Thai Cuisine, the owner himself had opened the restaurant together with his chef wife who is from Thailand to serves us with the Thai Food. The small cozy restaurant brings us with the homey feel and enjoying Thai delights with an affordable price.

The restaurant is not a grand one but the simple setting of the restaurant brings us with the homely and cosy environment which is perfect for relaxing. The menu has a nice mix of pork, poultry and seafood.

We started off with the Yum Kai Dow (RM17.00) where the salad comes well with the fried egg tossed along with with prawns, squid, onions and tomato. The delights bring us with the zesty sensation and each mouthful of it is sinfully good as well as addictive. It is something special which we tried in a Thai Restaurant rather than the usual Kerabu Mango.

Mod Tod Kra Tiam (RM15.00) is one of the signature dish in Thai Camp. The pork pieces is being marinated with the add –on of garlic, imported spices and secret sauce had made the dish come out to be very tantalizing. The dish is simply packed with flavours and it went well with rice.

Highly recommended dish: Phad Prik Kaeng (RM18.00) is where the serving comes with long beans and roasted pork stir fried with red curry paste. The red curry is spicy and packed with the flavors in it. We really enjoy the “Umpph” of the spiciness in the dish as well too. Diners can also opt for chicken, pork, squid or prawn besides roasted pork.

Well , going to Thai Restaurant without Tomyam will be something weird right? We do try their Tom Ka Kai (RM15.00) where the white tom yum chicken which is served with the thick and creamy taste. Not much of the spiciness, the tomyam flavours is simply robust and I did not notice I can scope and licked the bowl clean twice with it.

Kaeng Som Pla Tod (RM35.00) is where the Deep Fried Talapia which is being served with the sweet and sourish tomato – based sauce and it is top with the generous amount of vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, kangkung, carrot and chilli. The fish were cooked to crispy, golden-brown perfection. The sauce paired well with the fish itself leaving a awesome meals which we will come back for more of this.
