KYUNG JOO KOREAN RESTAURANT @ MID VALLEY MEGAMALL

April 12, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Located at the same floor as GSC Cinema, Kyong Joo is indeed one of the Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant worth to visit for some Korean delicacies. The restaurant which is famed with barbecue, Korean dishes and more.

ABOUT KYUNG JOO

Kyung Joo was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla and often referred to as  “the museums without walls”.It well known as the main destination in South Korea for visitors interested in the cultural heritage of Silla and the architecture of the  Joseon Dynasty. The Cuisine of Kyung Joo is generally typical of the cuisine  elsewhere in Gyeongsang province : spicy and salty.

The interior is bringing you with the cosy ambience, orange lighted and a wide sitting space. Complete with the exhausts fan, BBQ grill; pretty much everything is there.

Of course, we are served with bachan where the little appetizer is amazingly good. Enjoy yourself with the kimchi, mashed potatoes, marinated vegetables, pickled radish, black beans and pineapple. These are also free refill and you can enjoy them till the fullest.

Toasted Rice Ball (RM 29.80)
Try the toasted rice ball where comes simply good. Mixed and clumped into rice ball, it is cooked in at the hot grill pot bringing you with the light crispy bites with it. This is where the seasoned roasted seaweed, minced pork, spicy sauce and rice are mixed together, and forming into a shape of a ball and it is then being grilled. It is amazingly good and flavourful especially crisp bites of the rice.

Bibimbap (RM 19.80/ RM 20.80)
The hearty bowl of rice where it is one of the delicious “mix rice” from Korea The bowl of warm rice topped with namul which is the seasoned vegetables and gochhujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang. Topped with a raw egg on top. Mixed them together and enjoy them hot. It is simply a flavourful delights to go for.

Dak-galbi chicken with ramen (for 2persons) (RM 48.80)
For those who are looking for unique dish, why not try Dak-galbi chicken with ramen. The marinated diced chicken in a chilli pepper paste sauce, along with sliced cabbage, potato and noodles are being stir fry together on a hot plate. The ramen was evenly coated with the chilli pepper paste sauce which is light spicy to me.

Sam Gye Tang (RM 34.80)
Sam Gye Tang is the healthiest way to cook chicken. Small, young chicken is stuffed with sweet rice, ginseng, Korean dates and other medicinal herbs, and boiled to perfection. It is one of the signature dish to have in Korea. With the ginseng added into soup, it is believe to be “the secret of perpetual youth” in Korea. Koreans love to eat ginseng to recuperate their strength when they feel tired and low.

Budae jjigae (RM 48.80)
Meant for sharing, Budae jjigae is a thick Korean soup similar to a Western stew. The stew is topped with loads of ingredients which includes hot dogs, Spam, or ham, and incorporated them into a traditional spicy soup flavored with gochujang (red chili paste) and kimchi. The dish often incorporates such modern ingredients like instant noodles in it. Not just that, it is served together with onions, crabstick, sliced sausage, tofu and more in one.

Japanese Scallop Barbecue (RM 32.80)
You can enjoy huge Japanese Scallops too. The lovely huge Japanese scallops is well grilled till perfection and every mouthful of the scallops brings you with the sweet sensation. Nicely done!

Love grilled items, why not enjoy some barbecue items instead. In here, you can enjoy a variety of flavours of grilled items with different flavor. They have so much flavor to choose from and you can have them all in one goal. The variety of taste includes kimchi, ginseng, miso and honey. Each of the flavoured are priced at RM 15.80 each.

Marinated premium pork neck (RM 38.80)
If you love to have the pork neck, they have them as well. The tender and juicy pork neck which is perfectly good to dine.

Enjoy yourself with a cup of drink – Passion Mojito (RM 14.80) and Lime Mojito (RM 14.80)

For those who are looking for a good Korean delights, why not heads to Kyong Joo Korean Restaurant for a tantalizing Korean delights.
