Chez Gaston @ Bangsar : Affordable and Authentic French Delights

November 20, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

If you are a big fan of French restaurant, Chez Gaston is one of the places to visit. With the walking distance to the Bangsar LRT, this French restaurant brings you with the quiet ambiance and strike at the corner lot of the building itself.

Chef Nigen who formally is the co-founder of the casual French restaurant – Rendez-Vouz who opens this lovely place. It is indeed a great ambiance and also what makes it even better is they served authentic and yet affordable French Delights.

Mediterranean Fish Soup (RM 17)
We started off with the Mediterranean Fish Soup which is simply flavourful and yet a hearty soup to begins. The Soup is perfectly served with the tomato and herbs French fish soup together with the rouille sauce. Topped with croutons and gratted emmental cheese. The broth comes simply light with the hint of the tomato flavour.

Small  Mix Platter ( RM 41)
Grab the delicious platter where you will be pampered with the generous servings of pate, cured ham and all.  Add the foie gras with just additional RM 25. The pates go best with warm crusty French bread

Salmon Terrine (RM 22)
We loved how the Salmon Terrine is served where they are served together with the cocktail sauce. And it is well paired with the complimentary bread which is served to us.

Fillet mignon de porc (RM 42)
This is just awesome. The meat is simply tender and juicy. We love how this pork tenderloin is being done where they are slow-cooked for hours. The meat is just perfect and it becomes our favorites of the night.

Beef Bourguignon (RM 48)
The beef cheek is perfectly slow cooked till perfection for 8 hours in thick red wine sauce. The meat is well infused with the flavours of the wine in it. We are just loving the taste where the meat is juicy enough with the moist and juicy meat.

Seabream Grenobloise (RM 46).
We enjoyed the Seabream Grenobloise (RM 46). The flaky fillet is perfectly served with the lemon butter caper sauce. The meat comes simply flaky and moist. It is such a perfect indulgence for the day.

Floating Island
Chocolate Mousse

And of course, don’t miss out their delicious desserts’ selection as well. We had the tempting floating island and the chocolate mousse that ended our delicious meal.

For those who are looking for affordable and authentic French Delights, Chez Gaston is definitely the place to go for.
