CANTON FARE, SOLARIS MONT KIARA

June 12, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Canton Fare named itself with a bold statement of a tagline “the King of Roast”. The restaurant is located alongside with the Japanese, Western and more around the area. The restaurant is simply beautiful designed and furnished with the antiques vast and more.

Suan Ni Bai Rou (蒜泥白肉) is served for the first dish of the main course. The pork belly is being sliced and it is topped with the minced garlic sauce. The meal is indeed appetizing with a slight spiciness due to the minced garlic sauce but the taste is simply appetizing to start off as well.
Price: RM 16.00

Next served is the Iced Black Fungus (冰鎮雲耳) which is where the black fungus us served on cubes of ice below. The cold black fungus is being dipped into the u Ma Jiang (胡麻酱) for the flavors as the black Fungus alone does not have any taste on it. With the sauce, it had create more mouth watering delights in the mouth as well as enhancing the flavors.

– The Char Siew-
– The Siew Yok-

For duck lovers, you may enjoy the new menu of the restaurants which is the Crispy Aromatic Duck (脆皮香酥鸭). This is where the duck is being deep fried and shreaded into thin slices and it is then being served together with the translucent alike popiah skin, cucumber and sauces. How it is being tasted? You may wrapped the duck meat with your own selection of the condiments with the ala-popiah skin and topped with the sauces with it. With this, the taste is simply flavorful.

The “King of Roast” brings the flavorful roasted items where the roast pork is simply good with the crispy skin with it and the tender and flavorful meat as well. The char siew meat is also tender as well.

Crispy egg plant, bitter gourd and prawn with salted egg yolk (咸旦炒三宝) is another item which is being served as well. It’s alike tempura and the speciality is using the salted egg yolk with it. The portion is served in golden brown and the freshness of the prawns is also there.

Pi Feng Tang Prawns (辟风塘虾球) is indeed one of my favorites where the praws are being battered and deeo fried with garlic and condiments with it.
