Editor Picks: Ipoh One Day Makan Trip from the Locals

July 15, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

I have been to Ipoh so many times but everything was so good in Ipoh where we went back again and again. Ipoh is also a heaven of food where you can dine most of the goodies food here. Impressively delicious food, we have listed what to eat in Ipoh in 24 hours.

And recently Ipoh is also listed in the largest travel guide book publisher in the world, Lonely Planet, after the city was listed as one of the best Asian destinations to visit in 2016. In their pick of where to go in the next 12 months, Lonely Planet listed Hokkaido, Japan at first place, followed by Shanghai, China and Jeonju, South Korea. Ipoh is the only city in Malaysia to be listed, at sixth place.
( picked from The Star)

Yoke Fook Moon
Yoke Fook Moon is always my preference for dim sum whenever I am in Ipoh. Some prefer Ming Court and some say Fu San which is at the same street. The delicious dim sum where you can sit there sharing table with other customer, hearing the patrons yelling at each other “Siew Mai”, “Har Kao”  and of course one of our favorites here is the “Tai Pao”. The Tai Pao here is extremely huge can feed up to 4 person if you are sharing.

Address: 69, 67, Jalan Leong Sin Nam, Kampung Jawa, 30300 Ipoh, Perak, MalaysiaOpening Hour :  6–10AM, 6:30–11PMPhone: +60 5-241 6589GPS: 4.5966071,101.0867463

Tai Kar Rock
One of another great place for Yong Tau Fu. Tai Shu Keok (Big Tree) is another place to enjoy YTF but fairly because the YTF is huge and cheaper. I prefer Tai Kar Lok as they are better in taste but slightly more expensive and petite in size. (not to small but just smaller than Big Tree. Haha)
