“DAI SHU KIOK” (BIG TREE FOOT), IPOH

September 1, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

This is “Dai Shu Kiok” literally translated as Big Tree Foot, is located behind Tuck Kee Restaurant in Pasir Pinji is our visit during our trip to Ipoh. Thanks to the Garmin GPS which had brought us there. The place served plentiful of hawker delights like fried koay teow and more but what is the most famous here will be the Yong Tau Foo

The Yong Tau Foo Or Yong Liew is usually eaten with a bowl of noodles. The stall started in the early 70s, famous for its Hakka Yong Tau Foo and regarded as one of the best stalls in town.

They offers more than 20 types of homemade Yong Tau Foo is available from about 11am. The fish paste stuffing is made from toufoo yue and the selection is fresh, the fried items are fried on the spot and served hot. Delicious and affordable, you cannot afford to miss out on these offerings.

The price wise, is simply cheap and affordable dining with a large portion. As for taste wise, I still prefer Tai Kar Rock then here. The services for the drinks are rather a bad experience for me as well.
