JAPANESE DELICACY PASTRIES “AKACHAN NO HOPPE “IS NOW IN MALAYSIA

July 14, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

BRC Group introduces a new Japanese brand “Akachan no Hoppe” to the locals which produces authentic Japanese delicacy pastries. The first product introduced to Malaysians is Mochi or preferably known as Mo.cheeks – one of the new upcoming desserts in town.

Akachan no Hoppe, which means baby cheeks, is a brand originated from the city of Itoigawa, Niigata in Japan. Being in Malaysia for its first time, the brand produces a unique pastry that oozes a definite feel of softness, love-filled fluffiness which comes naturally from the mo.cheeks.

According to the CEO of BRC GROUP, Mr. K.C.Choo, “Japanese cuisine is fairly common in Malaysia. However, it is often difficult to obtain a fresh authentic Japanese food. Akachan no Hoppe is offering more than just a unique pastry but also the authenticity and freshness. Our products are made in Malaysia using the techniques and skills together with our Japanese partner.”

The founder of Akachan no Hoppe, Mr. Yamakawa Takehisa, added that, “We are greatly honoured and excited to be in Malaysia. Japanese pastries ‘Wagashi’, represents a large part of Japan’s food culture and we are delighted to play a part in unrevealing these treasures globally”.

Offering 10 unique flavours ranging from Red Bean, Green Tea, Black Sesame, Edamame, Japanese Plum, Double Chocolate, Strawberry Love, Melty Caramel, Tropical Pineapple and Jungle Banana, the locals can now have a taste of the authentic Japanese mo.cheeks at RM3.80 each. Customers may also purchase the mo.cheeks as gifts where it comes in two different packaging sizes with a minimum purchase of 6 pieces.

Akachan no Hoppe is available at 3rd Floor, Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall and for a limited time, purchase 10 pieces of mo.cheeks and get 1 additional piece for free. Akachan no Hoppe will soon be blooming around major malls in Malaysia, serving the original Japanese pastries in the near future.
