A Ramadan Feast of Heritage and Togetherness at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

February 26, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

As the holy month of Ramadan draws near, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel invites you on an extraordinary culinary journey, one that honors tradition, fosters connection, and elevates the art of dining. From 2 to 29 March 2025, the Citarasa Orang Kita Ramadan Buffet unfolds a lavish spread of over 150 authentic Malaysian dishes, each crafted to perfection, celebrating the rich and diverse flavors of Malaysia. More than just a feast, this is a heartfelt tribute to the heritage, culture, and communal spirit that define Ramadan.

At Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, every dish tells a story—of time-honored recipes passed down through generations, of bold flavors that have stood the test of time, and of the shared experience of breaking fast together. The Citarasa Orang Kita Buffet is a meticulously curated experience designed to transport diners through Malaysia’s culinary landscape, bringing together nostalgic classics and bold new interpretations.

Among the standout dishes is the Kambing Golek Berempah, an indulgent centerpiece of succulent, spice-roasted lamb. The meat, slow-cooked to perfection, boasts a crisp, flavorful crust that gives way to the most tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture, complemented by a house-made mint sauce. Equally tantalizing is the Daging Masak Hitam, a deeply aromatic beef dish, where slow-cooked meat is enveloped in a rich, caramelized soy-based gravy, striking a beautiful balance between savory and sweet.

For those seeking bold and comforting flavors, the Ayam Percik is a must-try—a charcoal-grilled chicken smothered in fragrant, spiced coconut gravy, offering a delightful contrast of smokiness and creamy richness.

Seafood lovers will delight in Ikan Patin Tempoyak, a Pahang specialty where river fish is bathed in a tangy, durian-infused tempoyak gravy, creating an intense burst of flavors that linger long after the last bite. And for those who seek warmth and nourishment, the Sup Gearbox Berempah is a soul-soothing bone marrow soup, slow-simmered with aromatic spices, allowing diners to scoop out the buttery richness of the marrow and savor its depth of flavor.

No Ramadan feast is complete without a grand selection of traditional desserts, and Sheraton’s master pastry chefs have created an irresistible array of Malay kuih, Western delicacies, and refreshing sweet treats. Indulge in the soft, creamy layers of Kuih Seri Muka, the delicate flakiness of Kuih Lapis, and the delightful burst of molten palm sugar in Onde-Onde, each bite a nostalgic journey into Malaysia’s treasured culinary past.

Beyond the sumptuous buffet, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur invites guests to extend their Ramadan evenings with the Moreh Tiffin Set, available from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Pavilions Lounge. Designed as a lighter post-Iftar indulgence, this curated set, priced at RM 39 for two, offers a selection of traditional light bites and aromatic tea, creating the perfect setting for intimate conversations and moments of reflection.

For a truly immersive experience, the Talam Set at RM 99 nett for two offers a communal dining tradition that harks back to the past—an experience of sharing meals, deepening bonds, and embracing the essence of togetherness that Ramadan embodies.

Exclusive Early Bird Offer

To make this experience even more rewarding, guests who secure their reservations before 22 February 2025 can enjoy a special early bird price of RM 129 nett per adult, significantly lower than the normal price of RM 189 nett. Meanwhile, children aged 6 to 12 years old can dine at RM 94.50 nett, making it an ideal opportunity for families to celebrate together.

An Unforgettable Ramadan at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

Ramadan is more than just a season—it is a time of gratitude, reflection, and shared experiences. At Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, every dish, every gathering, and every moment is designed to celebrate the beauty of this sacred time. Whether you are indulging in a meticulously prepared Iftar buffet, enjoying a late-night Moreh session, or simply cherishing the company of loved ones over a communal meal, the Citarasa Orang Kita Ramadan Buffet promises to be a truly unforgettable experience.
