January 26, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Tao Chinese Cuisine, an award-winning Muslim-friendly restaurant, is synonymous with authentic Cantonese cooking and exquisite culinary craftsmanship. This Chinese New Year, Tao elevates the festive spirit with seven meticulously curated menus, including The Fortune Set, Mystic Set, Prosperity Set, Radiance Set, Opulent Set, and Longevity Vegetarian Set. Each menu embodies tradition, creativity, and a celebration of togetherness.

Yee Sang with Salmon & Shredded Korean Crystal Pear

The culinary journey starts with the Yee Sang, an iconic dish symbolizing prosperity and unity. At Tao, this dish is reimagined with premium Salmon and the refreshing crunch of Korean Crystal Pear. The pear adds a crisp, natural sweetness, perfectly complementing the vibrant mix of ingredients.

Dried Scallop Broth with Braised Crab Meat & Abalone

This dish epitomizes luxury and indulgence. A hearty bowl of Dried Scallop Broth is enriched with tender Braised Crab Meat and succulent Abalone, offering layers of oceanic flavors. Each spoonful bursts with richness, making it a highlight of the meal and a perfect way to warm the heart during the festive season.

Roasted London Duck & Steamed Chicken Roll with Mala Sesame Sauce and Potato Crackers

A must have here! This dish is a symphony of textures and flavors. The Roasted London Duck steals the spotlight with its tender, juicy meat and perfectly crisp skin. Complementing it is the Steamed Chicken Roll, delicately coated in a fragrant Mala Sesame Sauce and accompanied by crispy Potato Crackers for added crunch.

Taiwanese-Style Steamed Red Snapper in Supreme Soy Sauce

For seafood enthusiasts, the Taiwanese-Style Steamed Red Snapper is a masterpiece. Steamed to perfection, the fish boasts flaky, moist meat that melts in your mouth. The Supreme Soy Sauce enhances the natural flavors of the fish.

Wok-Fried Tiger Prawns with Butter Oats

Tiger prawns take center stage in this dish, cooked to perfection in a hot wok and coated in fragrant Butter Oats. The prawns are juicy and succulent, while the oats add a delightful crunch and a nutty aroma. It’s a dish that seafood lovers will savor with every bite.

Braised Mushrooms, Fried Fish Maw, Golden Fish Puffs & Garden Greens with Abalone Sauce

This dish is a celebration of textures and flavors. The Braised Mushrooms are tender and earthy, paired beautifully with the crispy Fried Fish Maw and whimsical Golden Fish Puffs. Served with vibrant Garden Greens and a rich Abalone Sauce, this dish is as visually stunning as it is delicious.

Steamed Mini Lotus Leaf Wholegrain Rice with Yam

For a wholesome twist, Tao presents Steamed Mini Lotus Leaf Wholegrain Rice with a flavorful addition of Yam. Wrapped in fragrant lotus leaves, the rice absorbs subtle earthy notes, creating a dish that is both nourishing and satisfying—a perfect blend of health and indulgence.

Chilled Winter Melon with Aloe Vera & Peach Gum

Steamed Ninko with Roasted Soy Flour

A sophisticated twist on the traditional Chinese New Year cake, this dessert combines the chewy texture of glutinous rice with the nutty richness of Japanese Kinako Soy Flour. It’s a refined and memorable way to end the meal.
