MERDEKA FLAVOURFUL FEAST AT MELTING POT CAFE

August 5, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Join us at Melting Pot Café this 31 August for a grand Merdeka celebration! We’re marking this special occasion with a festive buffet high tea that captures the essence of Malaysia’s diverse culinary traditions from local favourites to international delights.

Buffet High Tea – 31 August

Experience the rich and vibrant flavours of Malaysia with our extensive buffet spread. Start your culinary journey with local Malay favourites – beef rendang, nasi kerabu, sup kambing with roti bakar, mee hoon goreng, and ayam goreng berempah and more. Our Indian and Chinese sections offer traditional favourites like aloo gobi, Indian tosai, roti canai, signature Hainanese chicken rice, and a delectable range of dim sum.

For a taste of Thailand, indulge in our selection of Thai favourites. The Thai shrimp glass noodle offers a refreshing and light option, while the papaya salad brings a burst of tangy and spicy flavours. Warm yourself with a bowl of chicken tom yam noodle soup, a quintessential Thai dish known for its bold and spicy flavour.

For those who enjoy Western fare, we offer a variety of dishes prepared ala minute. Savour the pan-seared chicken and vegetable wrap, a healthy and delicious option, or the indulgent nachos tomato salsa with melted cheese chips and our assorted pasta and pizzas, perfect for any palate.

Don’t forget to visit our Bakar-Bakar Teppan Station. Here, guests can watch our chefs expertly prepare mini chicken and beef steaks, searing them to perfection. Our seafood medley includes Malaysia-style ikan bakar stingray, ikan selar kunyit, prawn, and green mussels, each grilled to enhance their natural flavours and served with a variety of dipping sauces.

No meal is complete without dessert, and there is an array of options to satisfy your sweet tooth. Finish your meal with local goreng-goreng snacks like crispy sweet potato and banana fritters, cucur sayur, cokodok pisang and lekor. Savour our chef’s new creation Penang style Nyonya bubur cha cha, as well as Nyonya kuih, selection of French sweet treats and the popular dessert to relieve heat such as ABC ais kacang and ice cream potong.

The buffet high tea is priced at RM91.80 nett per person, after a 15% discount off the normal price of RM108.00 nett. Additionally, kids aged 6 to 11 years old eat for only RM54.00 nett, enjoying a 50% discount.

For reservations, please call 03-2717 2233 and 012-399 0734.
