 Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui teams up with Klook to present the first-ever Chibi Maruko Chan themed staycation and afternoon tea set in Hong Kong this winter. Enjoy a convivial journey with the popular Japanese manga character and her beloved friends and family as various corners of the hotel will be filled with adorable thematic decorations.

Chibi Maruko Chan Themed Rooms

From now to 14 February 2022, stay with us and explore travel-themed rooms with four different countries featuring Chibi Maruko Chan and her family and friends, including Egypt-themed (Standard Room), France-themed (Deluxe Room), Australia-themed (Corner Room) and Greece-themed (Harbour View Room).

The manga characters will greet you when you arrive on the guest floors. Apart from the thematic sticker outside the themed rooms, the rooms are decorated with an array of thematic elements, including a Maruko plush toy, window stickers, mirror stickers, bathroom stickers, cushions, paintings, drinking mugs and photo frame. Guests may take home a coaster, a keycard holder and a water bottle tag printed with the characters as souvenirs.

Each room will receive exclusive welcome gifts (two pairs of Chibi Maruko Chan themed slippers and a 500ml stainless steel vacuum Chibi Maruko Chan themed insulated bottle).

Various corners of the hotel lobby will turn into fantastic photo corners. Fans of Chibi Maruko Chan will be thrilled to find the thematic backdrop upon arrival, as well as the 1-metre-tall Chibi Maruko Chan figure installed beside the 2.2-metre-tall mirror with character sticker.

Chibi Maruko Chan Themed Afternoon Tea Set

Gather your besties to enjoy a lovely Chibi Maruko Chan themed afternoon tea set at Cafe. The culinary team has meticulously curated a selection of luscious bites served on an elegant two-tiered tea stand with Chibi Maruko Chan themed pink tableware and placemat. Some of the dainty treats are embossed with the adorable faces of Chibi Maruko Chan, Tammy and Hanawa Kazuhiko, offering a picture-perfect daytime rendezvous.

Enticing savoury creations include Ginger bread with pickled herring and cream fraiche, Foie gras au torchon and shallot confit brioche sandwich, refreshing Cold soup of avocado with smoked seaweed pearls, as well as Cranberry and juniper sausage roll. In addition to the savoury delights, there are also sweet bites to enjoy, including Passion fruit crème brulee, Caramel chocolate feuilletine tart, Mont Blanc chestnut vermicelli, Wild berry madeleines with condensed milk custard, New York cheesecake and the teatime essential Red apple and kumquat scone.

For beverages, guests can choose Chibi Maruko Chan’s favourite iced honey mandarin juice, rose and berry tea, or hazelnut chocolate adorned with the character’s lovely face. Guests will receive a set of two Chibi Maruko Chan themed sanitizers.

The Chibi Maruko Chan Themed Afternoon Tea Set is priced at HK$630 plus 10% service charge for two persons and is available at Cafe from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 15 November 2022 to 14 February 2023 (Monday to Saturday, 25, 26 December 2022 and 1, 23, 24 January 2023, not applicable on other Public Holiday.

Mode of Operations:      Guests are required to use the “Leave Home Safe” mobile application. Under the Government’s “Vaccine Pass” arrangement, guests are required to actively present their vaccination record or exemption certificate in electronic or paper. Only guests with valid blue codes are allowed to enter the premises. Any person whose vaccination record or exemption certificate does not contain a QR code and persons under the age of 12 and not accompanied by an adult will be required to complete a specified form for retention. More than 8 guests dining together with a common purpose: guests are required to present photos of negative RAT result taken within 24 hours OR messages of negative PCR-based nucleic acid test taken within 48 hours.
