Shu DaXia Hotpot @Bandar Sunway

July 19, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Shu DaXia Hotpot is one of the places that you must visit if you are a big fan of Sichuan Hotpot! And this Chengdu-born restaurant promises you to everything from its delectable food to the atmospheric ambience bringing you the adventure of wuxia fiction to its authentic attractions. Shu DaXia’s menu is pretty extensive where one can enjoy a wide variety of choices of food ingredients in one go where you can have the various choices of premium meat, seafood and vegetable.

For their outlet in Sunway; you are welcomed with the elegant exterior and most importantly they offer free valet parking for every customer and sterling services which ensure that you have an enjoyable visit not worrying about parking when you are there.
Walking in you are welcomed with the mascot of Shu DaXia which is the cute little panda which is where the panda is famous there. The interior is so beautiful and each of it comes with touches that assemble what is like when you are dining in a Chinese restaurant in Chengdu. The details of the restaurant from pillars, to signboards, lanterns and more are crafted in China.

And while walking to the private room, we are welcome with the loud greetings from their staff. And what is so special about the rooms is they are beautifully decorated with the portraits of characters from the Wuxia novels of Jin Yong. The rooms are nice and cosy and come with the bell button where you can easily call the staff when you need any service. They are indeed very attentive and they come in and check on the soup, scooping the leftovers from the soup now and then during our hotpot there.

THE FOOD
Starting off with their soup, Shu DaXia offers you 5 choices of soup bases where one can enjoy Traditional Sichuan Mala Soup (Butter Base), Traditional Sichuan Mala Soup (Vegetable Oil), Beauty Collagen Bone Soup, Tomato Soup and Mushroom Soup. Diners can order a single flavour, or make it into Doubled-flavoured Pot, or even a Triple-Flavoured Pot.
They come with 3 spicinesses of mala where you can have it mild, medium and strong. As for us, we get the mild one which is indeed quite spicy to me and it brings out the flavours of the herbs and spiciness in it. If you are more adventurous; you can go for the medium and strong flavours. As for their Beauty Collagen Bone Soup, it is boiled for over 10 hours and you can taste the flavourful and the milkiness of the soup which is completed with peach gum, wolfberries and many more in it. The Mushroom Soup is another must-try and they are being cooked with variety of choices of mushrooms in it.
Trio Delicacies One of the signatures here is definitely their Trio Delicacies. They are packed with their wholesome delicacies where one must try is their Iceberg Duck Intestines, Hero Fresh Cattle Tripe,  and Pork Aorta. Usually, we would not order this but this is indeed a good one where they are perfectly clean and you can taste any weird smells on it.  It is definitely best to enjoy them in your mala soup as it will absorb the flavours.

Spanish Iberico Pork Sliced & Premium Sliced Pork

We also enjoy their Pork Platter where they are indeed so good and delicious. We had the combination of Spanish Iberico Pork Sliced and premium sliced pork. The pork is thinly cut and one can enjoy the flavourful and juicy meat. Delicious!

Tai Chi Mashed Shrimp

Another must have is their Tai Chi Mashed Shrimp is a bomb! The shrimp which is transformed to the bouncy meatball is something worth to order and they have the choice of spicy and non-spicy version. The texture is soft and smooth ensuring you with the awesome bites and smooth sweetness.

Marinated Pork Ribs

Their Marinated pork ribs is a must to order. The ribs come amazingly good where the meat is so tender and juicy. It absorbs all the flavours in it making the pork ribs irresistible and so good. A Must to have! !

Hero Lamb Skewers

The Hero Lamb Skewers is definitely must have. It is amazingly good and delicious and packed with the flavours in it.

.

Other than that. one can order some seafood to paired with your hotpot such as the prawns which is super recommended as it is super fresh and delicious. Asides, one must their 9 specialty which is their Marinated Pork Ribs, Imperial Princess Beef, Hero Skewers, Iceberg Duck Intestine, Da Dao Sliced Pork Liver, Warriors Sliced Pork Kidney, Hero Fresh Cattle Tripe, Hero Beef Tongue and Crispy Shredded Pork Meat.
One can also enjoy their wide choices of vegetables that you can paired in the Hotpot includes their signature Kung Fu Green Bamboo Shoots, Black Fungus, Konnyaku Knot, Crispy Beancurd Roll, and many more.

Rice Cake With Brown Sugar Syrup

While waiting for your hotpot to boiled, you can order their signature Rice Cake With Brown Sugar Syrup, This is indeed addictive. The chewy rice cake is perfectly paired with the brown sugar syrup and it is simply addictive. Nicely prepared and delicious!

Hero Ice Jelly

After a heavy hotpot, we enjoyed the Hero Ice Jelly. The Hero Ice Jelly is indeed refreshing and they are so good and delicious. Love the taste of it!
If you are looking for comfort, friendly and private venue to enjoy an authentic Sichuan hotpot, this is definitely a must to visit restaurant.
