From Our Hearts to Your Home

April 21, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

The well-known Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s (the Centre) much loved and heartfelt Ramadan offerings are coming to your home, for the first time, this fasting season, from now to 12 May 2021.

The Centre’s Executive Chef, Hisham Jaafar said, “We would like to wish all Malaysian Muslims a very blessed and safe Ramadan month. Ramadan, for the Centre, has always been a very significant and special observation that is shared with our community. With the current challenges surrounding the pandemic, it is a priority for us this year, to enhance our commitment so we can continue to observe this month of reflection together. Our buka puasa offerings this year have been distinctively designed to ensure that the spiritual month of Ramadan can be observed with safety and health at the heart of our intentions, but also combined with traditional local favourites to breakfast at home.”

Unique to this year’s Ramadan offering is that the buka puasa sets and ala-carte dishes can be ordered for home delivery or self-collection. The sets for 2 to 3 persons are priced at RM99.80 nett and 4 to 5 persons at RM199 nett, both accompanied by complimentary breaking-fast items and desserts. Ala-carte dishes are also available for personalised set customisation.

For corporate companies that wish to buka puasa with clients and partners, the Centre also has a dedicated offering with four rotating menu options priced at RM148 nett, and provision of dedicated prayer and ablution facilities.

The Centre’s Malay Cuisine Chef, Chef Baharuddin Hj Jaafar, shared that, “During these trying times, our top-most priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of the community that we are part of, our team members and clients and their families and the public. For corporate buka puasa events at the Centre, we will place the utmost care and a most stringent adherence and compliance to safety SOPs. Not wanting to leave the wider community out, for the first time this year, we have introduced online order and delivery option.”

The Centre’s Ramadan offerings are made of four specially-crafted menus for each week of the fasting month comprising a myriad of authentic Malay favourites including the Centre’s signature dishes such as Chef Bahar’s daging masak hitam rempah sangai tumis darat, Chef Imran’s ayam kunyit teresek minang sayur maman; and Chef Azrie’s daging campur gulai kawah pisang muda dan kedondong.

Stay tuned to the Centre’s Facebook – @klccconventioncentre and Instagram – @klccconventioncentre pages and website over the next weeks for more updates on our Ramadan offerings.
