UK Agro Farm @ Kluang : Indulge Yourself with Nature!

October 8, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

UK Agro Resort is situated in the southern state of Johor, Malaysia within the Kluang Modern Agriculture Project (Projek Pertanian Moden Kluang) under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Malaysia. And this is one of the farm worthvisiting with family and friends.  The journey is  just 5 minutes drive after you exited Air Hitam Toll.
Brain-child of the farm Mr Goh Un Keng have been putting loads of efforts in promoting and learning many techniques to ensure visitors have an authentic and memorable farm experience while showcasing the modern techniques involved in 21st century farming.
And in here, one can purchase the ticket and have 2-3 hours trip in the farm itself. But this round, we have only an hour for the whole trip and we did miss some of the attraction. We are welcome with the  brightly painted old-school bus was ready to take us round the farm.
First Stop:  We started off with the Feed stock Processing Centre where one can witness how the grasses are being processed for the goat and sheep. This is where the grass is blended and they are added with the vitamins and minerals in it before they are being consumed by the animals.
Second Stop – Goat pens! Here you go with all the fun parts. You can hold the stalks of hay for the goat to munch or you can let the baby goats latch onto a milk bottle.
Not just that, one can take pictures with the baby goat too.
Third Stop: The third stop is the goat milk processing centre where we get to know the benefits of the goat milk as well as well as the process of getting the goat milk. In here , they will get the goat out and lock their heads so they could not move much.
The next step, they will disinfect the teats, squeeze the teats and check them of there is any blood. Then, they will plug in the milking device if everything is good and it will start pumping. Once done, they will remove the device and disinfect the teats again before releasing the goats back to their pens.
And then, you can have a relaxing time where one can sample the goat’s milk or yoghurt. Not just that, you can also get to purchase bottles of goat milk, goat  milk ice cream, goat milk coffee, goat milk , shampoo, goat milk body wash, goat milk lotion etc!
And just opposite the Goat Processing Centre, one can actually witness the beautiful greenery farm filled with goats there. The view is just stunning and looks like I am just in Australia.
After the great view, we boarded the bus and enjoyed the bumpy rides with the beautiful greenery view. It is indeed a magnificent view where you can enjoy the trees and plants as well as some animals along the way.
Forth Stop:  We visit the Jakun Village where we can witness the dance and also some interesting houses in it.
And here goes our short one-hour trip. In all, I enjoyed the tour as it brings back the old memories and bringing us back to memory lane. And perhaps, for those who are planning for a tour there, you can bring along a fan and a bottle of water as it is quite hot.
If you plan to stay at the farm, you can choose from chalet dormitory or camping package. For more information, check out the website here.
