Wurst KL: A hidden jewel for fans of sausages and deli

October 4, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

It is indeed a hidden jewel. Tucked on a subterranean level of the Bukit Bintang inside MOV boutique hotel, there goes this beautiful hidden jewel here. Famed for their sausages, the restaurant is indeed worth a visit and they have more than just food here.
The restaurant comes with their amazing one-storey spiral slide which comes fun and enjoyable for those who love to get down on slides. And you can get more fun here with the first deli that has its own adult slide to the basement.
And for those who does not know, Wurst is a modern deli that specializing in artisan sausage, meatballs, pastas and more! Everything is created on site and we serve only wholesome-hearty food, imported beers and really good times. And in here, all their produce where the sausages, meatball, burger patties, most cheese are made in house. And their pasta’s are all freshly made by hand nd sourced from a local artisan as chef believes in supporting and strengthening other locals within the industry.
And this round, we started our meals with their comfort awesome soup – Salmorejo Soup (RM 23). The Salmorejo Soup are served with the Momotaro Tomatoes, shredded egg and the extra Virgin Oil in it. We really love the flavors of the soup where the soup comes with light sourish taste which comes simply appetizing and it is such a tummy comforting soup especially on a rainy evening.
The Wagyu Bone Marrow (RM 28) is another signature here. Sipped the delicious collagen in it and they are cooked together with the green olive tapenade, onion compote and the brown gravy.
Another signature by Chef Logan is his Angus Beef Meatballs (RM 25). We loved the tender and bouncy meatballs which is served together with the tomato passata, paneer cheese and the Sweetcorn bread. We love the bouncy  bites of the meatballs which comes simply good and juicy. Not just that, I am loving the bread as well which is fragrantly made.

It is our first time trying this. The 120 gram of Lamb Haggis (RM 36) his served with the over bashed neeps (turnips), herb mashed potatoes and Ardbeg (whiskey) sauce. Chef Logan cooked them with the unique fresh local ingredients like nutmeg, dill flower and bay leaf to brings up a more unique taste to it.
Lamb Chop (RM 35) is one of their signatures too. The lamb chop is being sous vide for 24 hours and served with homemade sun-dried tomatoes, feta crumbs, boiled potatoes and Espagnole sauce. The dish comes simply delicious and the meat is so moist and juicy. It absorbed all the flavours in it as well.
Next will be the Salmon Sausage (RM 26) and this catches my attention when they are served. The salmon sausage is being served with the sauerkraut, mustard, beef jus and sweet corn bun. If you are a fan of healthy sausage, give this a try.
The Fish & Chips (RM 35) here fares a good mark. The portion comes generous and they are ale battered barramundi fillet. It is served with with the addictive sweet potato chips, mushy peas and remoulade.
We ends our delicious meal with some sweet treats. The Loggy’s Noir Du Blanc (RM 29) is one of Chef Logan’s favorites. Enjoy the desserts what comes with the chocolate texture, salted sugar, honeycomb, charcoal crumbs and gelato all in one. And this comes with its own hashtag #loggytime.
With the creation by Chef Logan, Wurst indeed a hidden jewel to visit for food.
