Radisson Hotel Group Brings Modern Upscale Hospitality to Ningbo, China’s Ancient Port City

June 7, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Radisson Hotel Group™ has expanded its collection of upscale Radisson hotels in China, with the launch of Radisson Ningbo Beilun in the thriving port city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

Radisson Ningbo Beilun is a new-build hotel in the city’s Beilun district, a free trade zone, close to one of China’s largest international ports. Scheduled to open in Q3, 2018, the hotel will be part of a mixed development, INSHOW City, a commercial complex that will showcase China’s first nautical theme and largest city light show. The stylish 21-storey hotel is strategically located within proximity to commercial offices, dining outlets, retail malls, parks and a media broadcasting base.

Connected to major expressways, the hotel is just a 45-minute drive from Ningbo Lishe International Airport, and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, major air transportation hubs that offer connections across Asia. Radisson Ningbo Beilun is also easily accessible to attractions including Harbor Land Theme Park, Jiufeng Mountain, Yangshashan Seaside Resort, China Port Museum, Ancient Asoka Temple and other natural and cultural sights in Beilun district.

“Ningbo is the perfect fit for the internationally renowned Radisson brand. The city’s emerging industrial sector and the success of the vast Ningbo International Port also make it one of Asia’s dynamic cities and a key business hub. Radisson Ningbo Beilun will cater to these sectors, fulfilling the rising demand for international upscale accommodation for business travelers,” said Katerina Giannouka, President, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group.

“One of China’s most historic cities, Ningbo is also home to many enchanting lakes and temples, making it a captivating destination for leisure travelers,” Katerina added.

Radisson Ningbo Beilun will offer 230 guestrooms and suites, all designed in a contemporary style and featuring upscale amenities, ample work space and complimentary Wi-Fi. This will ensure a seamless working environment for corporate guests, while also allowing leisure travelers to unwind and stay connected at all times.

Guests will be offered a diverse selection of dining options, with two restaurants, a lobby lounge and an executive lounge in hotel suitable for every occasion. The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant will serve an extensive daily buffet breakfast, plus local and international fare. The Chinese restaurant will specialize in authentic Ningbo cuisine, with a choice of seating and private dining spaces, providing the perfect settings for memorable moments, family get-togethers, corporate dinners and other special celebrations.

Radisson Ningbo Beilun is also expected to become a leading local destination for meetings and events. With two 800 square meter ballrooms backed with professional support and state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, the hotel will be able to host all types of large-scale functions, including major corporate conferences, gala dinners and dream weddings. In addition, 6 multi-function meeting rooms will fit for various meeting needs.

“We are proud to be working with Radisson, one of the world’s most prestigious upscale hotel brands. This exceptional property will raise the standard of accommodation for all visitors to Ningbo,” said Mr Mi Da, Group President, Ningbo Zhong Qing Chuang Cultural Plaza Development Co., Ltd. “We look forward to working with our partners at Radisson Hotel Group to bring this fantastic project to life.”

The Radisson brand is currently undergoing a major revitalization, encompassing a new visual identity, product design and guest experience pillars, which will be rolled out to every Radisson hotel worldwide.

The launch of Radisson Ningbo Beilun forms part of a major strategic expansion of the world-famous Radisson brand across the Asia Pacific region. This growth will focus on fast-growing cities in some of Asia’s largest and most populous countries, including China, India and Indonesia. Radisson Ningbo Beilun will become the fourth Radisson hotel in Mainland China, joining existing properties in Shanghai, Suzhou and Tianjin.

The signing also marks Radisson Hotel Group’s entry into Ningbo, which has a history dating back thousands of years to the days of the ancient Silk Road. As part of the modern-day Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, one of the world’s most important industrialized regions, Ningbo is now playing a major role in the success story of 21st Century China.
