2OX @ The Row : The New Menu

October 14, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

For those who have not visited 2OX, it is time to explore a nice restaurant here. 2OX @ The Row is a casual French Bistro manned by the same team behind Maison Fraincaise.
And here, the restaurant brings you with the relaxed and informal yet a comfortable dining experience.
AMUSE BOUCHE
SELECTION OF FRESH SEASONAL TOPPINGS ON GRILLED HOME-MADE TOAST:ROASTED SEEDLESS GRAPES, MERINATED FETA CHEESE & BALSAMIC REDUCTION (RM25)

GRILLED GREEN ANJOU PEAR, FIG MARMALADE, EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL (RM25)

We started our meal with your selection of Amuse Bouche where we had the selection of fresh seasonal toppngs on the grilled home made toasted-roasted seedless grapes, marinated feta cheese and balsamic reduction. Perfectly prepared an every mouthful was as good as it came with the nice balance of sweet and salty flavours. As for the Grilled Green Anjour Pear, Fig, Marmalade with the extra virgin olive oil, it was simply interesting with the light sweet flavours.

APPETIZERS
Josper grill wagyu petit tender, green Puy lentils, herb sour cream. (RM45)
Such a divine! The wagyu was just perfect. The first bite had scored a high points where the meat was perfectly done with the complete tenderness and juiciness with it. It was well seasoned and sides with the Green Puy Lentis and the Herb Sour Cream.
Lobster bisque with lobster and carrot bon-bon (RM26)
The soup came smooth in its texture and portion was simply generous. Well blended and the broth came simply flavourful. Added with the Carrot Bon-Bon in it; gave us some crunchy bites between it.
MAINS
Espresso braised beef short ribs, fondant potatoes, king oyster mushroom. (RM 90)
The second beef dish of the day. We enjoyed how the Espresso Braised Beef Short Ribs was done. The flavours were good. Meat was juicy as it should be and it was served with the sides of the fondant potatoes and the king oyster mushrooms which I am addicted with. Loved the king oyster mushroom.
Pan seared calamari with caramelised garlic, tomato culis ala provencal, fondant potatoes & asparagus tempura
Addicted to this dish where the calamari was perfectly well prepared. The texture was slightly springy at the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. The asparagus tempura was just perfectly done with the crunchy bites. Both were well paired with the tomato sauce which gave us more flavours to the dish itself.
DESSERTS
Mousse cheesecake, vanilla curd and almond sable. (RM 35)
We ended with something light where we had the mousse cheesecake which gave us a sweet and nutty flavours. Indeed refreshing too.
Chocolate Lava Cake with Raspberry Sherbet
(15 minutes wait time) (RM 30)
Baked fresh from the oven. The chocolate lava cake was just as good as it should be. Paired with the raspberry sherbet. It was a good pair after we had enjoy the creamy based of chocolate lava cake and wiped down with the icy refreshing sorbet.
All items mentioned can be ordered a la carte or as part of a 3-course meal. Three-course meals are available for lunch and dinner at RM88++ or RM120++ (more premium options) inclusive of appetizer, main and dessert.
