Hong Kong’s Largest Wine and Dine Festival Returns in Octobe

September 17, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

The annual CCB (Asia) Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival is back with a myriad of flavours to tease palates and satisfy  tastebuds. Now in its 9th year running, the event will feature an exciting spectrum of fine wine, sparkling drinks and global gastronomic delights immersed in a glamorous and leisurely ambience. It is a feast for the senses (and appetite) that food and wine lovers will not want to miss. The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival precedes the Hong Kong Great November Feast, a whole month of wine events, street carnivals and culinary adventures.

Themed “A Sparkling Exploration”, the 2017 edition is a celebration of taste and eye-catching visuals much like the sequins on a cocktail dress or the bubbles streaming upward in a glass of champagne. Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and title-sponsored by China Construction Bank (Asia), the Wine & Dine Festival will be take place at the Central Harbourfront event space from 26-29 October.

Indulge in the finest culinary experiences, with some of the world’s top chefs cooking up exquisite dishes at the Tasting Room, elevating guests to a whole new level of gastronomic pleasures.

Come face to face with Chicago Chef Curtis Duffy, known for his immaculately constructed dishes and star of the award-winning Nextflix documentary “For Grace”. Chef Curtis has been awarded three Michelin Stars for four consecutive years and also received a James Beard award, affectionately known as the “Oscars of the culinary world”.  Witness up close the skills of Taiwan-born chef André Chiang, recognised as one of the most influential chefs in Asia with his “Octa-philosophy” of eight elements in his dishes. His French Restaurant André topped the lists and was ranked 2nd and 14th respectively in this year’s Asia and World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Treat your sweet tooth with Singaporean chef Janice Wong, nicknamed the Dessert Queen, owner of the 2am:dessertbar, and consultant partner of Hong Kong’s COBO HOUSE. Cordon Bleu-trained Wong was named Asia’s Best Pastry Chef for two consecutive years, and also appeared as a guest judge in season seven of Australia’s Masterchef.
