10 AND GOING STRONG! ONE WORLD HOTEL PETALING JAYA HOLDS GRAND CELEBRATION FOR ITS FIRST DECADE

August 7, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

One World Hotel Petaling Jaya celebrated its 10th anniversary with a grand celebration on Wednesday, 26th July 2017 at its Imperial Ballroom to honour 650 guest comprising clients, suppliers, travel agents, government agencies, regular guests, bloggers and members of the media. The venue was decorated to reflect the theme “Casino Royale” and there was a buzz in the air from the start of the evening till the end.

The event kicked off with a twin aerial silk performance followed by a welcoming speech and toast from the owners and directors of the hotel, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong and YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Kok respectively. The milestone celebration was officiated with a 5kg cake – cutting ceremony graced by the family’s matriarch YBhg Puan Sri Datin Cheng Gek Hong.

“Thank you for being part of our success story. We are definitely excited to see how the next chapter of our story unfolds as we are committed to making every effort to further improve and bring our services to the next level while delivering only the very best!” said Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong in his speech.

Guests were treated to a sit – down dinner and while the sumptous five – course dinner was being served, all were entertained by Joy Victor featuring the 9 Lives band and the Godfather of stand-up comedy, also known as the funniest person in the world for 2016, Harith Iskander who had the crowd in stiches of laughter.

One World Hotel’s five top supporters including Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA), Hotelbeds, Quintiq Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Sheet Glass Sdn Bhd and Expedia Travel received awards for their part in building a relationship with the hotel.

The event was capped by the grand lucky draw, with the top prize of a travel voucher worth RM6000 courtesy of Parlo Tours Sdn Bhd. Other attractive prizes included iPad, 60” Sharp TV, tickets to Bali and Bangkok as well as hotel’s dining, room and spa vouchers.
