Sustainable Seafood Week – Banana Prawns at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit

February 6, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Supported by Earth Net Foundation Thailand and in conjunction with Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit’s sustainable seafood week, 57th Street restaurant is proud to present the latest succulent and sweet Banana prawns from 20 – 26 February 2017. Locally wild-harvested and certified by Organic Agriculture Certification Thailand (ACT), these Banana prawns come from natural marine caught by small-scale organic fisheries based in Baan Hin Rom village at Phang Nga bay, Andaman Sea. To meet the certification standards, they are required to adhere three main measurement criteria that include using sustainable ecology fishing gears to minimize damage to all aquatic resources, clear demarcated harvesting areas, free from toxic chemicals with far proximity to conventional farms using chemical inputs by at least 1,000 meters and prohibition of using any chemical substance in the harvesting process with full traceability record.

Enjoy this dish with a premium glass of white wine, paired to perfectly complement our seafood specialties. This Banana Prawn ala carte dish is priced at THB350++, for reservations or more information, please contact the 57th Street Restaurant, Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit at 02 797 0000.
