Love is in the air at Capella Singapore

February 2, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Couples are invited to celebrate 14 February with Capella Singapore as the island resort transforms into an ultimate romantic destination for couples to create memories that last a lifetime.
Romance a la Carte
For those who wish to surprise their other half with a romantic getaway tailored to their likes can opt for Capella Singapore’s Romance a la Carte package. Designed to be personalised, the package starts from $1,299++ per night for true exclusivity and privacy. Guests will be greeted with a welcome bottle of house wine upon check in, can enjoy daily breakfast with the peacocks at The Knolls, as well as be surprised with a romantic turndown after an eventful day on Sentosa. The perfect retreat is further customisable with the hotel’s specials.
Pampering date at Auriga spa
In the romantic spirit of Valentine’s Day, the six-time Forbes Five-Star Auriga spa is offering two special couple experiences from 1 to 28 February at S$688++ per couple
Love birds can choose the popular P.S. I Love You For Two day spa experience that leaves guests in absolute harmony. The holistic journey begins with a comforting foot ritual using an organic rose scrub before a soothing full body massage. Couples will then be able to enjoy a candlelit sensual bath filled with rose petals while toasting their love with a glass of champagne. Couples will complete their 2.75-hour experience with cocktails and refreshments at Bob’s Bar.
Couples can also spend quality time together with the Senja Sunyi Ritual For Two that draws inspiration from the practices of traditional Asian treatments and therapies. With a nourishing body balm, the massage features Javanese kneading techniques with warm Moon Stones, smoothing out any muscle kinks and tangled nerves. The session continues with an organic rose facial before an intimate bubbly rose-petal bath. The romantic 3-hour date concludes with a relaxing afternoon tea at Chef’s Table.
Romantic Dining Bliss at The Knolls
Commemorate the special evening with an exquisite five-course meal (S$148++ per person) at The Knolls. With a stunning view of the hotel’s famed cascading pools, the restaurant will delight guests with epicurean Mediterranean fare specially crafted for the unforgettable occasion. Available to only a limited few, couples also have the option to enjoy an enchanting poolside dining experience at S$700++ for two, which includes the special set dinner with wine pairing amidst an exclusive romantic candlelit set up surrounded by flowers petals.
Some of the menu highlights includes the starter Foie Gras d’amour with Beetroot, the main dish Slow-cooked sustainable Barramundi paired with Tomato Compote, Basil on Buckwheat Sable and Spinach Cream, as well as a sweet ending – Cherry Love Affair.
For a surprise element, The Knolls will hide a gift in one of the desserts served that night where a lucky couple can walk away with a one-night complimentary stay at Capella Singapore’s One-Bedroom Garden Villa.
Intimate Elegance at Cassia
Cassia, Capella Singapore’s fine-dining Cantonese restaurant, is offering a luxurious five-course dinner menu (S$248++ per couple) for those who wish to celebrate in a personal setting. On this memorable evening, couples will be brought on a sensory gastronomic journey from the nutritious Double-boiled Fish Maw, Dried Scallop and Lobster Claw Soup in Young Coconut, to the signature Baked Chilean Sea Bass in Japanese Style with Wok-fried Egg White and Fresh Milk, as well as the Braised Ee-Fu Noodles with Minced Wagyu Beef, Eggplant and Black Truffle. For those who fancy a drink can opt for the wine pairing menu at S$388++ for two.
Capella Valentine Tea Experience at Chef’s Table
Served a la minute, the 5-course Capella Valentine Tea Experience is ideal for couples with an idyllic afternoon to spare. Only open to the public on the weekdays for high tea, the unique Chef’s Table is a designer home-style kitchen that impresses with its finest setting, gourmet fare and impeccable service. Couples will be wowed with an assortment of sweets and savouries such as the Tartare of Smoked Salmon Gravalax with Watercress Cream Puree and the Traditional Baked Dundee. Available exclusively on Valentine’s Day, the tea experience is priced at S$118++ for each couple and is inclusive of two glasses of Taittinger Brut champagne.
Movies under the Stars at Bob’s Bar
Couples hoping to celebrate their love in a captivating Cuban atmosphere should look no further than Bob’s Bar. With a special Pinchos platter and a glass of Taittinger Brut champagne to go with their comforting evening, couples can enjoy their favourite class movie under the stars on the bar’s alfresco lounge beds.
Couples will be able to enjoy mouth-watering delights such as the Bordeaux Canele soaked in Navegante, the bar’s bespoke rum and the mouth-watering Mojito Ceviche. Those in the mood for an extra tipple can also order the bar’s signature cocktails such as White Flora and Pineapple Julep. Available only on 14 February, the special package – that includes a Pinchos platter, two glasses of Taittinger Brut champagne and movie-on-demand – is priced at S$118++ for two.
