KLASIK SATAY STATION, RESTAURANT O’DIN, TAMAN EHSAN

August 23, 2011 by StrawberrY Gal

Satay Klasik at Restaurtant O’din is my visit this round. The satay stall is not a big shop but they are renting a stall space in Restoran O’din. The jewel place for satay is recommended by a reader that the Satay is simply delighting and many influential people actually travel all the way here to have their satays. Being so, we make our move down to Taman Ehsan, Kepong to grab the try of the satay. Klasik Satay Station is originated in Kajang as well and recently the satay is being published in “Sudden Weekly Limited” (travel magazine) from Hong Kong where it is being recommended as one of the best satay in KL.

There are three types of satay here: chicken (RM0.70), beef (RM0.70) and mutton (RM1.00). As I could not take beef and mutton, we just ordered the chicken satay. The chef said that their satays are made in their original way and one of the secret in preparing satay is the oily baste. The satay here is meaty and well made. The quality and taste is indeed much better than the famous Haji Samurai Satay as well as Satay Malaysia. What I love the most is no skin or fat chunks were used for the satay.

The satay is served with the nice peanut and sambal sauce which is slightly moderate spicy. You can add more sambal sauce into the peanut sauce if you love to get more spicy taste.

Taste: 5/5
Price:
Chicken : RM0.70/stick
Beef : RM0.70/stick
Mutton : RM1.00/stick

Aside, we also ordered the tom yam noodles from the other stalls as well. The tom yam is made from clear soup and having some seafood like prawns as well as squids. The taste is spicy and well made. Love it so much

Price: RM 6.00
