TOSS FOR PROSPERITY FOR THE YEAR OF FIRE MONKEY @ HILTON KUALA LUMPUR

February 4, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Celebrate the new beginning and toast for prosperity for the Year of Fire Monkey at Hilton Kuala Lumpur. This year, the Chinese Master Chef and TV personality, Lam Hock Hin and his culinary team at our award winning Chinese restaurant, Chynna brings you with their unique feast of Lunar Favorites.
This year, Chinese Executive Chef and TV personality, Lam Hock Hin has created five fortune and prosperity lo sang including 2016’s signature, Mixed Salad with Squid Tentacles and Coconut White Curry, symbolising richness and luck for a prosperous year ahead. The yee sang comes pretty unique and special. Nice one. All set menu(s) include a Traditional Norwegian Salmon Lo Sang and starts from RM238 nett per person for groups of 5 person and above.
Braised Jade Soup with Monkey Head Mushrooms and Prawn meat
With the green color based soup, the soup comes pretty unique and it brings us a creamy blend of taste with it. I love the way it is served and every mouthful is  sinfully good. Awesome!
Rock Salted Baked Chicken stuffed with Ginger and Tea
Perfectly done, the chicken is indeed well stuffed with loads of ginger and tea with it. And every mouthful was awesomely good. I can taste the fragrance of the combination of ginger and tea in it. The taste is awesomely good which I need to give a double thumbs up.

Steamed Giant Estuary Grouper fillet with homemade Assam Java sauce
It is pretty unique and the grouper fish is absolutely well steamed till perfection with the Assam Java sauce with it. What’s more special is the sauce comes with the blend of sourish taste. I am just thinking to have a bowl of rice to accompany the dish. Nice.
Claypot stewed Abalone with Sea Cucumber, Sun-dried Oysters, Fatt Choy, Mushrooms and Bran Gluten
The traditional homey taste where the dish is filled with the huge bouncy sea cucumber with sun dried oysters, fatt choy and mushroom. Awesomely good.
Wok-fried Omega Egg with Curry flavour, Australian Scallops, Prawns and Garden Vegetables
A more unique dish for Chinese New Year where the Australian Scallops and Prawns is well stir fried with the Omega Egg with Curry flavour. The dish is awesomely good and simply flavourful and packed with the curry taste in it.
Poached Hong Kong Egg Noodles with minded Chicken Beijing Style
The egg noodles is well cooked in Beijing style but we felt that the noodles is slightly soggy; perhaps is due to our long photo taking.

Panna Cotta with Crushed Peanuts Nian Gao
The set is pretty unique I can say, aside from the local way of making the dishes, Hilton had made the nian gao with the crushed peanut covered with it together with the panna cotta. It is simply pretty unique.
Walk-in customers can make reservation or enquiry at the special Chinese New Year counter located at the hotel lobby. Chynna’s lo sang is available for purchase and takeaway at the same location.
