A hidden jewel indeed- Bei Hai Restaurant brings us with much surprises in our recent visit to the restaurant. Located in the neighbourhood area, Bei Hai Restaurant brings you with the seafood sensation where one can buy the seafood from the next door and the restaurant will do the cooking with some topups or you can also have their delicious seafood items too from their menu. Well, they are located just next door to the famous seafood reseller- Jinn Chwan, where they specialized in just selling raw seafood.

Well, we are indeed excited with their new item which is the River Prawn Boiled Rice (Seasonal Price). The river prawn comes simply fresh with the huge sizes too. Served together with a pot of pipping hot soup and the rice with it. Cook your prawns and enjoy the sweetness of the soup first. Then, cook your rice in the pipping hot soup. The sweetness taste of the soup combined with the well done rice comes simply awesome and filled with flavours too.

The Homemade “Bei Hai” Beancurd (L: RM32/ M: RM 24/ S: RM 18) comes awesomely good where their homemade beancurd deep fried till perfection and topped with their homemade signature sauce. I love the way it is done where each mouthful comes sinfully good with the moist and flavourful taste in the inside.

Next item, Kailan Fried Kailan (L: RM29/ M: RM 18/ S: RM 16)is indeed well done. The partial of kalian is being deep fried and another portion is being steamed. The taste comes simply crispy and awesomely delicious.

As for the steamed talapia fish (RM 38) is one of my favorite dish of the night. The fresh talapia fish catch from the fresh water is being steamed with 3 types of ginger which is the bentong ginger, old ginger and young ginger. You can taste the thick gingery taste which I love it so much.

Pork Ribs with Radish Cheese (L: RM28/ M: RM 22/ S: RM 16)
Well deep fried with the marinated radish cheese. The flavours is well infused in the pork leaving us with the aromatic meat.

We ended our meal with the Pepper Salt Soft Shell Crab (RM 16.80). Simple cooking style where the soft shell crab is beiing marinated and deep fried till perfection. Nice one!

For those who are looking for a decent home cook delights and their NEW items – River Prawn Boiled Rice, remember to hop to Bei Hai to enjoy the seafood sensation.
