ISLAND SHANGRI-LA, HONG KONG WELCOMES THE YEAR OF THE GOAT WITH PROSPEROUS DINING CELEBRATION

With the Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day being the most important and romantic time of the year, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong embraces the festivities with a prosperous assortment of gourmet hampers and dining inspirations.

Feasts of Love at Restaurant Petrus, Lobster Bar and Grill and Nadaman
This Valentine’s Day, guests can enjoy scrumptious dates of various styles at the hotel’s restaurants. Nothing is more romantic than impressing your Valentine with an intimate six-course dinner menu at Restaurant Petrus with the city’s spectacular views.  The menu is priced at HK$4,288* for two persons. Couples who fancy a candle-lit dinner and captivating jazz tunes will find Lobster Bar and Grill the perfect place to enjoy a delectable four-course dinner. The menu is priced at HK$3,888* for two persons. For Japanese cuisine lovers, Nadaman will delight guests with special Kaiseki and Teppan dinner set menu priced at HK$3,288* for two persons and an exquisite Sushi Omakase experience for HK$1,688* per person.

Sweet Indulgence at Lobster Bar and Grill and Lobby Lounge
For an afternoon of sweet decadence, Lobster Bar and Grill and Lobby Lounge have prepared a special Perrier-Jouët Afternoon Tea with signature homemade scones and delicately rendered pastries throughout the romantic month of February. Enjoy this blubby afternoon tea with a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé priced at HK$988* for two persons, and couples can bring home with  a beautiful set of two limited-edition Perrier-Jouët Champagne flutes.

Fireworks Extravaganza at Restaurant Petrus
On 20 February 2015 (the second day of the Chinese New Year), guests can look no further than the award-winning Restaurant Petrus to enjoy the magnificent pyrotechnic spectacle set against the stunning Hong Kong skyline. With the backdrop of the fireworks display over Victoria Harbour, guests can indulge in a delectable six-course dinner menu featuring seasonal favourites, such as Atlantic Ocean Fregola Pasta with Peanut and Crab Infusion and Miéral Capon-Bresse with Albufera Sauce and Organic Vegetables.  The menu is priced at HK$1,688* per person.  Please refer to the appendix for details of the menu.                                                                                      
                                                                                                                           
Chinese New Year Delights at Summer Palace 
Guests can heighten the spirit of the Lunar New Year with a traditional Chinese reunion dinner at the Michelin two-starred Summer Palace.  In addition to the dim sum and dessert menus, Chef Ip Chi Cheung, Executive Chinese Chef of the Michelin two-starred Summer Palace, has created special auspicious dishes with premium seasonal ingredients symbolising great fortune and better health to bless the year ahead.  Please refer to the appendix for details of the menu.

Michelin-starred Puddings and Gourmet Hampers at Island Gourmet
Island Gourmet joins the festivities with a collection of Michelin-starred puddings and gourmet hampers that convey wishes of good fortune.  Chef Ip’s homemade puddings include Chinese New Year Pudding, Turnip Pudding and Coconut Milk and Red Bean Pudding – the brand-new creation are priced at HK$238 each.  The puddings come in a violet-red coloured hexagon-shaped box with an intricate Chinese knot ornament, revealing a traditional Chinese New Year Candy Box design, which makes the perfect gift box to show gratitude to family and friends during the festivities.

The hamper selections include:
• Ruby Hamper (HK$1,988)
Chinese New Year Pudding, Chinese cookies, Shangri-La chocolates, caramelised nuts, candies, organic honey, black truffle pâté, dried mushrooms and porcini gift box, Chinese tea, a bottle of red wine and Shangri-La red packets

• Jade Hamper (HK$2,688)
Chinese New Year Pudding, Chinese cookies, Shangri-La chocolates, caramelised nuts, matsutake gift box, Summer Palace X.O. sauce, dried scallop, bird’s nest, Chinese tea, a bottle of red wine and Shangri-La red packets

• Diamond Hamper (HK$3,888)
Chinese New Year Pudding, Chinese cookies, Shangri-La chocolates, tin of foie gras, matsutake gift box, Summer Palace X.O. sauce, dried scallop, bird’s nest, fish maw, Chinese tea, a bottle of red wine, a bottle of champagne and Shangri-La red packets

Guests can receive a HK$100 dining voucher valid at any of the hotel’s restaurants for every purchase of pudding or hamper at Island Gourmet worth over HK$1,500 (after discount).  Island Gourmet offers delivery services to Hong Kong Island (HK$180 per item), Kowloon (HK$240 per item) and New Territories (HK$350 per item).  Delivery is not applicable to the Outlying Islands.
