EASTER F&B HIGHLIGHTS AT SHANGRI-LA RASA SAYANG RESORT & SPA AND GOLDEN SANDS RESORT

Easter is a season of celebration, for reflection and for family get-togethers. Easter Sunday Brunch is an occasion where friends and family can reunite to enjoy a meal and share great memories on that special weekend. Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa and Golden Sands Resort are offering lavish Easter buffet brunch spreads on Easter Sunday.

At Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, there is something for everyone at the Easter Buffet Brunch. Easter offerings at Spice Market Café include appetizers, salads, seafood, sushi, exotic Tandoori delights, pies, pizzas, pasta, a carving station, soups, hot western and oriental dishes, noodle station, dim sum and desserts.

Cold appetizers include roast beef with mustard and marinated mushrooms, curry herring platter, smoked duck breast with apple and blue cheese. The tandoori station features lamb and chicken tandoori, fish tikka, dhal makhani, aloo gobi, matter mushroom, rice pilau, mutton vindaloo, butter chicken, naan bread, pickles and chutneys.

Hot western dishes include Shepherd’s pie, Seared Snapper with pepper and coriander sauce, slowcooked beef cheeks with shallot, braised leg of duck in orange sauce while the carving station features roasted sirloin with onion, herb crust and caraway seed gravy and chicken roulade with apricot. There are also hot oriental dishes including daging masak Temasek, wok fried tiger prawns with oats, wok fried fish fillet with spicy tauchu and  sotong masak lemak with bird’s eye chilli.

Desserts include Easter rice tart, hot cross buns, carrot cake with mascarpone frosting, mocca chocolate amaretti, egg chocolates with tiramisu, chocolate truffle bavarois, William Pear with hazelnut caramel torte, fruit crepes and a chocolate fountain with dried fruit skewers.

Children can have fun with the Easter Egg Painting Contest, Easter egg hunt and meet resort mascot, Mr. T the resort’s turtle mascot. Registration for activities required on a first come first serve basis. Children are required to register at Spice Market Café’s front counter on the actual day of the buffet.

The Spice Market Café Easter Buffet Brunch is available on Sunday, 20 April, 2014 from 12:00noon to 3:00pm. Price: RM 120++ (adult) RM 60++ (child). Please call 04-888 8788 for reservations.

Golden Sands Resort, Penang chefs will also be cooking up a storm with an extensive menu of salads, appetizers, soup, carvery station, pizza, pasta and noodles, egg station, hot western and Asian dishes like Oklahoma Fried Chicken, Easter Chicken Casserole, Maryland Crab Cake, Panfried Seafood Skewers, Barbecue Chicken Wings, Beef with Ginger and Spring Onion, a Teppanyaki Corner featuring chicken, squids and Blue River Shrimps with vegetable trimmings and traditional desserts like Easter Simnel Cake, Chocolate Easter Cake, Cornish Burnt Cream, Orange Charlotte, pistachio cake, apple pie, fruit crepes, banana and cherry crumble and other goodies.

Golden Sands Resort’s Easter Sunday Brunch will be held at the Garden Café on Sunday, 20 April, 2014 from 12:00noon to 3:00pm. Price: RM 72++ adult RM 36++ Child (6 to 11 years old).
