CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH ORIENTAL GROUP RESTAURANT

In celebration of this year’s Chinese New Year, let the horses gallop gracefully at the acclaimed outlets of The Oriental Group of Restaurants as we welcome the coming year.

What is Chinese New Year in Malaysia without the auspicious Yee Sang? Toss the Yee Sang
as high as possible to new beginnings and to good health, prosperity and happiness. The Oriental Group of Restaurants introduces two new Yee Sang selections this year  –  Spider Crab Meat Traditional Yee Sang, and  Grilled Salmon Belly & White Truffle Vegetables Yee Sang. All-time favourites such Jelly Fish, Salmon, Golden Crispy Enoki Mushroom, Soft Shell Crab and Hokkaido Scallop are also available.

“One can have a choice of pairing the ingredients with Traditional Yee Sang or Modern Vegetables Yee Sang” explains the group’s Executive Chef, Chef Justin Hor. Gather family and friends to kick start the year of the horse with our many set menus available only during this season. Each restaurant has its own unique set menus available to choose from.

Set menus from RM 88++ per pax.
Set menus from RM 798++ for 10 pax.

Chef Justin and his team  have  also prepared auspicious dishes for this New Year, some nostalgic traditional dishes and some with a contemporary twist. Among the specialties available are shown below and availability of the dishes varies between outlets.

Braised Eight Treasures Pork Trotter

Spinach with Yam & Chinese Sausage in Claypot

Braised Stuffed Money Bag with Dried Oyster & ‘Fatt Choy’

The Oriental Group of Restaurants are offering two finest and treasured ingredients of the Chinese community – South African Superior Dried Abalone and Bird’s Nest. Braised Whole South African Superior Dried Abalone at a special price  of  RM 498++ each(original price at RM 650++ each)Double-Boiled Bird’s Nest Soup at a special price of RM 68++ per pax (original price at RM 128++ per pax)
