Kinome: An Intimate Omakase Experience Inside Isetan The Table, Lot 10

December 5, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Tucked quietly inside The Table at Isetan, Lot 10, Kinome is a refined omakase destination that celebrates the harmony of Japanese craftsmanship, hospitality, and the art of precision dining. Supervised by Isetan Japan, Kinome brings forward an experience shaped by years of discipline—guided by chefs who have each trained for over five years under Master Sushi Chefs in Japan.

The result is an intimate culinary journey where every movement is deliberate, every flavor is intentional, and every guest feels both cared for and inspired.

A 11-Course Lunch Omakase That Honors Japanese Seasonality

Kinome’s 11-course lunch omakase is thoughtfully curated to spotlight premium Japanese ingredients flown in twice weekly from Japan—ensuring absolute freshness and seasonality. Each course reflects a balance of flavor, texture, and craftsmanship.

Highlights From the Menu

Appetizer – Madai

The experience begins with madai, a red snapper from Fukuoka. Lightly breadcrumbed and deep-fried to perfection, this dish offers a crisp exterior with delicate, clean flavors within—an elegant introduction to the courses ahead.

Sashimi – Young Amberjack & Akami

A duo of sashimi showcases:

Young amberjack, creamy and subtly smoky

Akami from Nagasaki Prefecture, bright and clean in flavor

Together, they create a refreshing contrast that encapsulates the purity of Japanese sashimi.

Chawanmushi With Matsutake

A comforting steamed egg custard elevated with aromatic matsutake, known as the “King of Mushrooms.” Earthy, warm, and deeply satisfying.

Sushi: Precision, Skill & Exceptional Produce

Kinome’s sushi selection reveals the finesse of the chefs—each piece lightly brushed, topped, or seared to highlight the ingredient’s natural character.

Sahara (Saba) Sushi

Prepared with saikyo miso, lightly seared to enhance smokiness. The crisped skin and savory depth make each bite memorable.

Matsukawa Karei

A beautifully marbled flatfish topped with sodachi and complemented by a touch of calamari. The result is a divine bite—smooth, clean, and exceptionally balanced. The upper cut features engawa, prized for its rich texture.

Madai Sushi

Japanese red snapper, topped with a bright touch of yuzu to lift its sweetness.

Shima Aji

Served with fermented yuzu pepper, delivering a refreshing kick and layered umami.

Otoro

Indulgent and buttery, the otoro melts instantly—never overpowering, always elegant.

Shiitake Sushi

A vegetarian surprise that doesn’t feel secondary: tender shiitake mushrooms, packed with umami richness.

Kinome Don: A Signature Bowl

A soulful bowl featuring a variety of white fish, finished with a generous topping of uni. Creamy, oceanic, and layered with subtle sweetness—this don is a standout dish in the omakase journey.

Aka Miso Soup

A deep, comforting broth that resets the palate with its earthy richness—true to traditional Japanese dining.

Dessert – Hojicha & Black Sesame Ice Cream

The meal concludes with a harmonious pairing of:

Hojicha, roasted and aromatic &  Black sesame ice cream, nutty and velvety. A grounded yet indulgent finish.

Craftsmanship, Ambience & Service

Kinome isn’t simply a place to eat—it is a curated experience. From the warm hospitality to the quiet, precise movements of the chefs behind the counter, everything is designed to honour Japanese tradition.

The ambiance is serene, thoughtfully lit, and intimate—ideal for those who appreciate meticulous craftsmanship and the quiet beauty of omakase dining.
