Matcha Eight unveils seasonal Sakura menu to celebrate the beauty of spring

April 17, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Matcha Eight, the artisanal matcha dessert brand, unveils its seasonal sakura menu, blending newly crafted authentic Japanese desserts with beloved returning favourites as a tribute to the fleeting beauty of sakura season and the vibrant energy of spring.

The Sakura ice cream and Sakura Fizzy return this season to delight taste buds with their signature blend of delicate sakura leaves. The highlight of the menu this year is the Hanami Platter that consists of sakura ice cream, sakuramochi, sakura jelly, traditional warabimochi and sakura tea. Available exclusively at The Exchange TRX flagship store, the Hanami Platter is available in two options: sharing platter and single platter, priced at RM68++ and RM48++, respectively.

Perfect for Two: Matcha Eight’s Hanami Sharing Platter is available exclusively at The Exchange TRX flagship outlet.

Thoughtfully crafted in partnership with Master Chef Takuji Takahashi, this exclusive menu is set to transport Malaysians to the heart of Japan’s cherished hanami tradition, allowing them to savour the delicate flavours of authentic sakura-inspired creations.

“Sakura season holds a special place in our hearts—it is a time to appreciate nature’s ephemeral beauty and create lasting memories,” said Miho Kaneko, the founder of Matcha Eight. “Through this menu, we want to bring the magic of spring to Malaysia, evoking the charm of Japanese hanami and the nostalgia of springtime memories,” she added.

What sets Matcha Eight apart is its commitment to using 100 per cent natural ingredients, with zero artificial additives, preservatives, flavourings and stabilisers. Each dish is made with real sakura flowers sourced directly from Kochi Prefecture, Japan.

Hanami Bites Set offers a delightful pairing that celebrates the flavours of spring.

Besides the newly launched seasonal platter, Matcha Eight also introduces the Hanami Bites Set (RM22++), which features a combo of one drink and one dessert of choice. Selections vary slightly depending on the outlet.

Sakura season is fleeting yet captivating, much like the blossoms it celebrates. Matcha Eight’s sakura menu embodies this sentiment, inviting everyone to savour the moment and reconnect with nature’s wonders.

Available in stores starting tomorrow (18 April 2025) for a limited time, Matcha Eight’s seasonal sakura menu is a celebration of spring that you won’t want to miss.
