Celebrate the Magic of Christmas at Hilton Kuala Lumpur

December 6, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

When it comes to embracing the joy and spirit of the holiday season, Hilton Kuala Lumpur stands as a beacon of festive cheer. Their ‘Hilton Holidays’ campaign, running from 15 November 2024 to 1 January 2025, invites guests to immerse themselves in an enchanting celebration filled with extraordinary dining experiences, delightful activities, and exciting prizes. Recently, we had the privilege of attending Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s Christmas Food Review, and it was a feast for the senses.

Festive Feasts at Vasco’s

At the heart of Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s holiday celebrations is Vasco’s, the hotel’s vibrant dining hub. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a spectacular buffet spread that promises a culinary journey through both international and Asian flavors. Whether you’re in the mood for hearty roasts, fresh seafood, or decadent holiday desserts, Vasco’s has something for everyone.

The roasted turkey was a true showstopper, featuring a perfectly golden skin and tender, juicy meat. Paired with tangy cranberry sauce and herb-infused stuffing, this dish embodied the essence of Christmas. Equally impressive was the prime rib roast, seasoned to perfection and served with a velvety gravy that melted in the mouth.

Seafood lovers will revel in the bounty of the seafood station, which featured plump oysters, tiger prawns, and snow crabs. The oysters, chilled to the ideal temperature, offered a burst of ocean freshness, especially when paired with the tangy mignonette sauce.

For those seeking Asian-inspired dishes, the live cooking stations were a delight. From hot, fragrant plates of char kway teow to delicate steamed dumplings filled with savory surprises, every dish was crafted with precision and care, delivering bold flavors in every bite.

No festive feast is complete without desserts, and Vasco’s dessert station delivered on all fronts. The yule log cake, rich with chocolate ganache, was both a visual masterpiece and a decadent treat. Traditionalists will appreciate the fragrant Christmas stollen, filled with spices and dried fruits. However, the standout for me was the gingerbread pudding, a warm, comforting dish topped with spiced vanilla sauce that left me returning for seconds.

Beyond the culinary delights, Vasco’s ambiance encapsulates the joy of the season. Guests can look forward to surprise visits from Santa and Santarina, who bring treats and plenty of photo opportunities. Adding to the magical experience are the melodic voices of live carolers, filling the air with classic Christmas songs. Families will especially love the chance to visit Santa’s Grotto, creating picture-perfect holiday moments.

More Festive Dining Experiences

While Vasco’s shines as the centerpiece of the celebrations, Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s other dining establishments also offer holiday-themed culinary delights:

Chambers Grill: Known for its premium cuts and signature grilled dishes, Chambers Grill elevates festive dining with offerings like flame-grilled wagyu beef paired with seasonal sides, perfect for a sophisticated holiday treat.

The Lounge: Ideal for an elegant festive high tea, The Lounge serves a holiday-inspired menu featuring mini mince pies, cranberry scones, and a variety of Christmas-themed finger sandwiches.

Oro Café: For casual indulgence, Oro Café presents artisanal treats like festive macarons, gingerbread cookies, and an indulgent chocolate yule log, complemented by their signature coffee blends.

Exciting Giveaways and Prizes

Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s ‘Postcard to Santa’ contest adds a playful twist to the holiday celebrations. Guests who spend a minimum of RM500 nett in a single receipt receive a RM100 nett cash voucher and a festive postcard to drop into Santa’s mailbox. These postcards enter diners into a lucky draw for weekly and grand prizes, including luxurious stays, dining experiences, and exclusive spa sessions.
