Toh Yuen Revamped and Brings you with their NEW MENU

November 22, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Toh Yuen Chinese Restaurant at Hilton Petaling Jaya has reopened after a meticulous renovation, ushering in an elegant fusion of traditional Chinese cuisine and contemporary dining. With its refreshed ambiance and revamped menu, Toh Yuen invites guests into a sophisticated, modern setting that pays homage to Chinese culinary heritage while embracing innovative flavors.

With the beautiful interior, it brings you with the modern and classy look that is perfect for small families, crowds, or even having private rooms to cater for bigger crowds.

And in here, one of the highlights is definitely their Roasted Peking Silver Hill Duck, a dish that demonstrates Toh Yuen’s dedication to authenticity and quality. The duck, sourced from Silver Hill Farm in London, is prized for its perfect balance of fat and muscle, ensuring succulent meat and a delicate crisp skin. Prepared in an oven imported from Peking, this signature dish is the epitome of traditional Peking duck, offering a memorable indulgence for duck lovers and an experience that resonates with both the flavors of Beijing and Toh Yuen’s unique craftsmanship.

A must to try includes their Steamed Cod Fish Dumpling with Chicken Broth, which combines tender cod with a delicate dumpling wrapper, steeped in flavorful chicken broth, creating a comforting start to any meal.

The Steamed Siew Mai with Hokkaido Scallop reimagines the classic siew mai with the luxurious addition of Hokkaido scallop, while the Steamed Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp and Wolfberry combines nutritious ingredients with beautiful textures

The Baked Chicken Tart with Abalone, meanwhile, offers a rich and savory fusion of flavors encased in a golden pastry shell. Each dim sum option is an artistic expression of the chefs’ commitment to traditional techniques and creative flair.

For a rich and sensory dining experience, Toh Yuen’s selection of soups and main courses offer a balanced blend of classic flavors and refined presentations. The Braised Crab Meat Broth with Scallop and Asparagus in Mini Pumpkin Soup is a distinctive standout, served within a mini pumpkin that brings a natural sweetness to the savory richness of the broth and scallops.

The Sweet and Sour Diced Chicken with Figs adds a unique twist to a beloved Chinese classic, pairing the sweetness of figs with the dish’s characteristic tangy flavor.

Another refined choice, the Steamed Pomfret with Pickled Red Chili and Minced Ginger, elevates steamed pomfret with mild heat and fresh ginger notes.

For heartier appetites, the Stir-Fried Wagyu Beef with Porcini Mushroom and Trio of Peppercorn harmonizes the rich flavor of Wagyu beef with earthy mushrooms, while the Golden Butter Prawns with Cashew Nuts offers a blend of buttery, crispy prawns and crunchy cashews.

Rounding out the main selections, the Braised Ee Fu Noodles with Shredded Roasted Duck combines tender noodles with rich roasted duck, adding warmth and comfort to the dining experience.

To conclude, Toh Yuen’s dessert selection provides a refined and delightful ending to the meal. Options include the Egg Custard Pastry, with its creamy filling and buttery pastry, and the Chilled Mango Puree with Sago and Pomelo, which balances sweet and tart flavors to create a refreshing finale. Each dessert upholds the restaurant’s commitment to authentic yet innovative presentations of Chinese culinary tradition.

Overall, the reopening of Toh Yuen Chinese Restaurant marks an exciting evolution for this celebrated dining destination. With its expertly crafted dishes, dedication to quality ingredients, and reimagined space, Toh Yuen has seamlessly blended the essence of traditional Chinese cuisine with the vibrancy of modern dining. As it begins this new chapter, the restaurant promises a culinary experience that is rich in tradition, creativity, and exceptional taste, offering diners a harmonious journey through both classic and contemporary Chinese flavors.
