Their focus is on serving Malaysian comfort food, which typically includes a variety of dishes that are well-loved by locals and offer a sense of familiarity and satisfaction

Pomelo & Long Bean Salad (RM 12)

One of the must to try in Mangkuk is definitely their Pomelo and Long Bean Salad. They are dressed with a medley of herbs, tosted with the crushed peanuts and asam lime vinaigrette. The dis is so good where it bring you the taste of peranakan in it. We love the hint of the torch ginger in it which brings up the overall taste of the dish.

Thai Styled Grilled Pork (RM 20)

The careful marination of the pork with a blend of aromatic herbs, fish sauce, and coconut creates a flavorful and tender meat that is bursting with Thai-inspired flavors. The combination of these ingredients adds a unique twist to the dish, infusing it with a balance of savory, herbal, and slightly sweet notes.

When served, the Thai Styled Grilled Pork is accompanied by a variety of complementary elements. Fresh herbs, such as jambu air, are included to enhance the overall taste and provide a refreshing contrast to the richness of the grilled pork. The sweet chili sauce adds a touch of sweetness and a subtle hint of spiciness, elevating the flavor profile of the dish.

Tomato Masala Fish (RM 28)

The Tomato Masala Fish at Mangkuk offers a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. This dish features a crispy pan-fried seabass fillet, complemented by a creamy tomato masala sauce, caramelized cauliflower, and tempered spices. The creamy tomato masala sauce is the star of the dish, infusing it with a rich and savory flavor profile. The tomatoes provide a tangy and slightly sweet base, while the masala spices add depth and complexity. The sauce envelops the seabass fillet, enhancing its taste and bringing the dish together.

Accompanying the Tomato Masala Fish is caramelized cauliflower, which adds a touch of sweetness and a hint of smokiness. The caramelization process brings out the natural flavors of the cauliflower, creating a delectable side dish that complements the main components of the dish. To further elevate the flavors, tempered spices are incorporated into the dish. These spices add a subtle heat and aromatic quality, enhancing the overall taste experience. The combination of the creamy tomato masala sauce, crispy seabass fillet, caramelized cauliflower, and tempered spices creates a well-balanced and satisfying dish.
